Autoblog has blogged the blogger that blogwatches the blogosphere for other bloggers blogging about Toyota. Actually, Autoblog blogged the Brandweek article about the blogger that blogwatches the blogos… oh, never mind. The point is that Toyota actually has a "corporate manager of consumer-generated media" named Bruce Ertmann, whose job is to read and report on what's being said about Toyota's products on a variety of enthusiast and product-oriented blogs. Amazingly, the list of the blogs he monitors on a regular basis doesn't include TTAC. If you want to offer any suggestions for (ahem!) a blog he may want to monitor because it tells the truth about cars, you can email Toyota's corporate communications office at toyota_corp_comm@toyota.com. So now I've blogged Autoblog blogging the blogger that blogwatches the blogosphere for other bloggers blogging about Toyota. Somebody stop me!

Easy now, Frank.
Seriously though, since my unfulfilling job leads me to spend untold hours scanning auto blogs myself, I’m more than qualified for Mr. Ertmann’s position!
GM, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, whoever, if you’re reading this, I’m very interested.
That poor fellow has to read all the haters talk about FWD, lack of road feel, understeer and blandness all day. Probably he makes himself feel better about his company by looking at profitability and market share data.
Interestingly, my company pays someone to look at car blogs all day too, but if my bosses found out I would be fired…
One more lap, there, Frank and you might just spin off the planet!
kazoomaloo “Interestingly, my company pays someone to look at car blogs all day too, but if my bosses found out I would be fired…”
Thanks for making me laugh. That’s probably true for many here.
Who’s on first??
Does he also troll the threads and attack all the Toyota haters/diss the Detroit fanboys?
I must plead guilty like 86er and kazoomaloo, I like cars more then I like architecture.
What does he do with the data he gathers from the blogs because I’m sure people aren’t saying make my car more boring and suck the fun out of driving. They have so many customers right now, why can’t they make a few cars for us that love to drive and don’t want a toaster on wheels.
You know, Redbarchetta, at one time cars were in a way like architecture, or at least art.
Whoa. I’m a little lost in the funhouse…
I’ll one up some of you – I just got promoted, apparently for looking at car blogs all day.
Working hard got me ahead a little. Slacking, total disinterest, insolence, daydreaming and looking at car blogs gets me ahead a lot.
I am Dilbert. I even have the tie to prove it.
