It is with great trepidation that I raise this possibility. I remember my first foray into bridging the gap between Internet postings and FTF. I was writing "The Truth About Cars" column for Pistonheads. Flush from my proto-fame, I decided to attend their inaugural Pistonfest. Not only did I feel like a Jew at baptism, I was a Jew at a baptism. An American Jew at the birth of a particularly English enterprise characterized by an inordinate number of TVRs in the parking lot and a peculiar pride in a certain fondness for meat pie. These particular pistonheads had little time or interest in a writer whose keyboard spat vitriol like a milked puff adder, who couldn't even tell an Audi S4 Avant from an Audi S Avant (a mistake with an apparent half life of strontium). My wife and I retired to the world's nastiest hotel room where we watched Anneka Rice fly around the UK in a helicopter looking for a teapot named Ralph (look, don't ask). Anyway, any suggestions for a TTAC party venue? And if we do a TTAC get together, I warn you: I may give my name tag to one of my writers and look on from the sidelines. What was it my report card said? Doesn't play well with others.

Justin: the C4s had a spare and four unique wheels (directional, wider in the back). But that spare was a royal PITA to access, not to mention the extra cost. But at least you weren’t stuck with lousy run flat tires back then.
I expect the ZR-1 will sell out in a matter of months. And it’ll hold its value like the Ford GT. Its target market goes nuts for muscle cars at fancy pants auction houses: have you seen how much a HEMI cuda goes for these days?
Those garage queen collectors wouldn’t mind another toy instead of another poorly performing real estate acquisition.

The NY Auto show is one of the few places where Beer is cheaper than Soda. Oh, and you can get cheaper roasted nuts and hotdogs from the vendors outside than inside. $8 hot dog anyone?

Most people are pushing for NYC. I would like it to be more acessible for me though. How about Virginia Beach, Va. Enjoy the beach while you here.

NYC would be great…There’s a fantastic old-school beer bar on 36th between 5th & Mad called The Gingerman…close to Penn Station, Grand Central and a bus ride of 15 minutes from Javitts….
NYC? Hmmm…cheap flights, but prying me out of Palm Beach County in March to go north of Mason/Dixon line?

I think the NY Auto Show would be a great time to have a party. Alternatively, Virginia Beach sounds good, though mostly because those are the two places where I have easy access to a roof over my head.
