The next BMW 6-series isn't expected to be larger than the E64, and it may even be a bit smaller. If so, it won't be much smaller but it'll be enough to make room for the announced 4-door coupe (a production version of the CS Concept). Many design elements of this show car are expected to be also seen on future versions of large coupe, tweaked for a lighter and sportier appearance. The weight won't change much, so it would be nice to see the carbon fiber roof now used only on the M6 on the third 6-Series. I'd also like to see the inclined BMW grille of the '80s make a comeback. Here I tried a modern interpretation of the kidneys, inspired by those featured on the E24 and its close relatives. With less weight and without a Bangle-butt the design should be a success.

Wow! Now THAT would make the 6-series (currently an ugly duck) attractive! Great photoshop. I love the influences from the Shanghai concept (forgot the name, but it was based on a 7-seires and inspired by the MB CLS) and the Z8.
The only thing I don’t like on the photoshop is the headlights. The shape seems too torturous. Simpler is better.
I don’t love the big wheel arches, but otherwise I’m a big fan of the body shape and front end from the CS.
Light years ahead of the current model. But I’m getting really sick of tall coupes that need 20″ wheels to make them look sleek.
Maybe I need more coffee, but grill aside, this looks like a Jag.

Amen, Sajeev. Oversize wheel wells are a “new conspiracy” that make affordable base models look ungainly, as to sell option packages that add 10-20% to the price. (I’m thinking Accord, Altima Coupes)

I hope you are right about this.
Looks to me like a combination of the Z8 & a Jaguar. And I think the Z8 has an ugly front. I don’t care for this rendering TBH.
Much nicer than the current model. The jag is not the only car with this kind of rear end either. I would like them to go back to round headlights, but then it might look like a big mustang.
Looks like they copied the Aston Martin.
I like it an awful lot! I do get a bit of an older British sports car feel from the design (retro BMW was the first impression) – definitely a good thing…
@AKM
You’re right about the headlights. I guess I tried too much to make them look different. Here and here are two different versions with at least one straight line…
Gottlieb: my first thought was that it looked very Aston Martin-like, too. That is not a bad thing.
But there is no they — there is only Andrei behind the photochop.
Other than the wheels, I like that photochop much more than the current 6-series.
It does look pretty attractive, and maybe I need some sleep but at first glance it looked like a Mustang/Jaguar love child.
Those are some damn ugly headlights.
yuk…
