20071129_gtaiv_360_fob_rp.jpgNews of someone stealing a car and leading police on a wild-ass chase is fairly common. However, KPRC in Houston, TX reports that just such an incident in southeast Texas has an unusual twist: reporter Mariza Reyesthe says the driver of this stolen car was "barely old enough to see a PG-13 movie, much less have a drivers' license."  Montgomery County sheriff's deputies say a 13-year-old boy stole a car from his girlfriend's parents' home in Willis, TX, at about 2 A.M. Police chased him on the North Freeway southbound, with Harris County deputies joining the chase at about 3:45 A.M. The Houston police joined the fray when the chase entered that city. The pursuit ended on I-45 (Gulf Freeway) when the teen sideswiped another vehicle and crashed into a concrete barrier. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. The teenager was arrested and could face charges of reckless driving, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving without a license. I wonder what Caitlin Flanagan would say about this young man's "dangerous night" out?

What the hell was that dipsh|t kid thinking??

Now, if that car had a manual transmission, I bet he never would have made it out of the neighborhood.
(meocuchad thinks fondly of his MTX car).

Is TTAC going to side with some of our (least) favorite politicians and accuse GTA IV of being responsible?

Or do I just find the joke not very funny?

    I don’t know what’s crazier, a 13-year-old stealing car, or a 13-year-old who already has a girlfriend.

Lock him up!!! Where were his parents? Why didn’t they instill just a little respect for the lives of others and respect for the law? I hope the whole family gets a court order to attend some counseling – you know the type that is supposed to teach a little common sense???

Slightly OT, but every time I see a GTA sticker on a car, I really want to carjack it. And no, I’ve never played the game.

Do theaters bar those under thirteen from seeing PG-13 movies by themselves? Isn’t that more of a guideline for parents/bystanders?

Yeah, please don’t tell me GTA is going to be blamed for this…

LOL, my thoughts exactly. Girlfriend at 13 already?! Make all cars stick shift and no kid would drive like this!

Kids make no sense today. Two 14 year olds got off from beating two seniors to death in a park with a bat to the head. They claim they didn’t know what they were to expect. So now they’re back with their parents where I assume the problems originate!

If at 13 you have a girlfriend and know where your ding-a-ling goes, you know what happens to a bat to the head!
