So the former Car and Driver editor and occasional TTAC contributor graciously ceded his spot to Justin, who graciously ceded his podcast responsibilities to Michael Karesh. Our ace reviewer and truedelta.com partner in crime prevention acquitted himself admirably. And why not? Michael is our kinda guy. He shares our commitment to truth, justice and Steve McGarrret. Actually, knowing Michael (or at least Michael's age), I'm sure the consumer champion has no idea what I'm talking about, or the fact that Jack Lord spent the last two seasons believing he was the head of the Five-0 (itself a fictional agency). Fortunately, TTAC is not delusional. We know we're not perfect or infallible or particularly good at Parcheesi (for that matter). Once again, we thank our loyal readers for pointing-out our mistakes. We will always operate from the principle that we could be wrong, and provide space for those who wish to take a contrary position to our resident contrarians. And why wouldn’t the Prius get more commentary than the M3/RS4? For 99% of the population, the Prius is a more relevant vehicle than the two German beasts. But does that mean TTAC’s B&B have turned into 99% of the population when it comes to their taste in cars? Personally, I find it more refreshing to hear comments about cars most of us can afford instead of those that we dream of. As fun as those cars can be, “keeping it real” is often underrated on car blogs/forums.
I think it’s because the last 10 reviews were high performance cars (most of them BMWs), and people were starting to get fatigued? I wonder how many comments the eventual gen3 Prius review will get?
Btw, TD > CR. TrueDelta is super, with actual numbers and data to see. I mean, CR has freaking DOTS. Great work, Mr. Karesh!

Coincidentally, I’m trying to choose between an E36 M3 sedan (’97-98) and an Audi B6 S4 (’03-05). Is the reliability really that bad with these two cars?
Of course, the BMW will be expensive even for preventative maintenance. I’ve been reading up, and other than the water pump and a few suspension components, the E36 M3 doesn’t seem like it has fatal problems.
As for the S4’s, I was under the impression that the 2.7T’s were maintenance nightmares, but the V8’s were much better, almost a non-issue in terms of reliability. Is that incorrect?
I haven’t been interested in BMW since they boarded the Bangle Bus.
I saw a beautiful, well preserved early 90’s 5 series the other day…it made me long for the days when I still longed for a propeller badged sedan.
Now? Meh.
