It’s Friday and it’s the end of the week. And like any other week, we couldn’t have made it without you. While we don’t always have time (and occasionally forget) to put a note in the posts themselves, we do appreciate your tips, your links, and your story ideas. TTAC doesn’t work without people telling us what they want to read or think would make for a great article. Or just letting us know about some breaking news. I don’t have a list of folks to rattle off, but if you’ve sent something in, hear our thanks. Even if they don’t always make it to articles, we appreciate it.

Right back atcha!
McElroy has a decent theory.

He believes that Cerberus is trying to “force Chrysler down GM’s throat” using its 51% ownership in GMAC as leverage (mandating that no financing to peeps with FICOs less than 700 does not help GM’s cause).
Cerberus knows Chrysler is junk and they’re trying to get out from under and nobody is buying.
@John R (and McElroy):
Interesting conspiracy theory! The plot thickens…
AutoWeek is reporting that the seventh-generation Corvette project is on indefinite hold.

If true, stick a fork in GM, she’s done…
Being the last person on every train, I just upgraded to high speed internet (was using dial-up before; I know…), so this is the first podcast I was able to listen to completely. Hooray!
A GM-Chrylser merger would be a disaster. The idea isn’t even borderline stupidity, it’s on a whole new spectrum of idiocy. I don’t even feel the need to point out the myriad of reasons why.
As Mr. Rogers would say, we like you too, just the way you are.
billc83, I get the impression you have some reservations about a GM-Chrysler merger. Wouldn’t you like to have a snazzy Buick Enclave 300 with gunslit windows and snow shovel front?
Only if it had a Sebring profile…
