Tell me, why do the police need some purpose built uber-car? Aside from impressing ten-year olds, I mean. They don’t chase Lambos around a track – for high speed stuff a derestricted Charger would be more than enough, and for the rest of their work all they need is a large four door that doesn’t break easily.

Only if you drive KARR
The Knight Automated Roving Robot. I remember the episode where KITT and KARR were driving straight at each other from opposite sides of a narrow bridge. KARR veered off at the last moment, diving off the bridge and crushing itself in the water and rocks below.
A better question would be, do we really need our tax dollars paying for swat styled cars and police recruitment advertising geared towards adolescents?
this one’s REAL? hardly. it’s been nothing more than an optimistic idea in a cubicle (here in atlanta), and they FINALLY made a prototype this month. Probably without all the technology it promises.
Only if your product happens to look like KITT inside. Like a Vector W8 for example.
Edit: Never mind, I was thinking of the old KITT.
Actually, this is a pretty interesting concept. A purpose built cop car.
Check it out.

I don’t doubt that this company will do well, but the car’s a bit Judge Dredd for my taste.

Oh crap, did I say that out loud.
The ad would be made of win if the picture was the old KITT.

They’ll be writing a lot of speeding tickets with that bad boy.
Or, it will spend a lot of time circling decrepit schools looking to bust crack dealers.
“I’d buy that for a dollar!”
