Save for lacking a rear wing, it looks Perfect for Southern California. Possibly too expensive for its target crowd, though.

Nah, the New Beetle is the ugliest VW ever made, in any guise.
Whoever did it definitely got a little carried away, but I like it. Perfect shade of blue.

Draw a line from the A pillar to the rear wheel.
Forward of that, it looks like an old mitsubishi-chrysler rebadge. Back of that it’s actually got potential.
A bit overdone but I like it.

The things look even worse in canary/schoolbus yellow.
The picture up top doesn’t look bad, I’m not one for body kits that remind of rice rockets, but it could be worse.

While I don’t love the body kit, there’s really nothing wrong with that car at all.
I would even say I like it. And I’m not so young anymore.
World’s ugliest VW? Definitely the New Beetle, with an honourable mention to the New Super Beetle, AKA the original Audi TT.

Not ugly, looks pretty fierce. Better than some of the japanese cars driving around.
See kids, this is why you shouldn’t make clay models… you leave it in the sun for a few hours and this is what you end up with.
The front is too busy, but it’s not ugly or fugly by any means. I like the stance.
