The United States is too litigious a society for that kind of thing, right or wrong, to happen here. The police would be sued for his injury (I assume he was injured by the truck running over his foot).
This has to be Eastern Europe, maybe Southern Europe. No way this would happen in the “civilized” European countries, they’re even bigger wimps, when it comes to dealing with criminals, than Americans are.
Where the heck did they find a pickup in Europe? It’s been a few years since I was over there, but I don’t recall seeing any pickups. All sorts of vans and flatbed-like vehicles, but no pickups.
The officer just let his cop car crash? And what was that cop car, an aging 5 series? And with all those bullets to the truck, it was still able to keep going? That criminal must have been very badly wanted and extremely capable (Carlos the Jackal?).
I think streetfire must be employing some pretty capable stunt men
The cars were right hand drive, but the speedometer on the display was in km/h. England uses mph.
Australia or South Africa maybe?
That’s what we need in the States (especially Los Angeles) – a living, breathing version of the classic video game “Spy Hunter.”
Great clip!
With the right-hand drive cars, metric display, the abundance of white guys, and those license plates, I’m guessing that it’s South Africa.
The cop didn’t let his patrol car crash, he jumped out of the passenger side. He then climbed into the truck and pushed the driver out of the driver’s door, which in this case was on the right.
Threw me for an instant too, until I realized it’s Europe. The cars are right-hand drive.
Oh my…
Anyway…Definitely not Europe. Over here police can’t be bothered with things like car theft. It would take up too much time that could be spend eating doughnuts while chilling out in a strategically placed car with a speed camera incorporated in one of its foglights.
You know, to catch those real criminals, people who do 140kph on the highway where 120 is allowed.

Luckily, in Europe the suing people for nothing between civilians hasn’t by far reached the level it has in the US. However;
There was a Dutch armyguy (don’t know rank) who shot (killed) an Iraqi insurgent (apparently, that doesn’t happen a lot). The state (the Netherlands) prosecuted him and appealed twice after respective courts had cleared him of the charges. Worse still, this guy had been participating in some covert ops before this incident happened, which was made publicly in the proces of the trials with his name and everything.
Paging Steven Segal…Paging Steven Segal…
Hey, is that a HiLux ?
LOL, Tom. I was ready to respond with “SOMEBODY’s seen one too many Steven Segal movies” before I even read your comment.
Geez, these guys are hardcore. Even the LAPD won’t sit on a door sill and fire a shotgun at you.
Our European buddies know those are movies, right?
Wow, the guy stayed still ong enough for him to jump on it? Amazing.
PIT maneuver? We don’t need no stinkin’ PIT maneuver….
I see OJ kinda slouching down lookin’ very upset. Now lookie here, he looks very upset.

I like it, though…
That cops got balls! Shit. Imagine the drivers face when the guy slid through the window and plopped into the seat beside him ‘Oh f…….’
…and the reason why the European cops were pursuing him?
His Hilux didn’t meet the current emissions regulations.

Just totally awesome

You guys are suckers. I love it that it’s thought that Europe drives on the left side of the road. Don’t go there. Literally.
The canned sound effects are terrible.
The rest of it is quite the opposite.

RSA. Absolutely. Those guys play for keeps.
I’m guessing this is indeed South Africa. Auto-crime fighting there is frikkin’ nuts. See this here.

That clip is an advertisement for a game called Pursuit Force. It’s completely staged and fake. But apparently very convincing.
holydonut:
They stage running over a guy’s ankle? Nice work– if you can get it.
Dummy tossed out at the end…
Careful camera work, and the cars following seemed to know about the road obstructions a little too easily.
Unmarked car or personal car with cheap blue light?
I call bullshit.
Robert. It’s fake.

And a damn good one too. Although I WAS wondering how anyone could take that many shotgun blasts.
