alot of people were apprehensive about the Cayenne before it was released. After I first saw the interior, I knew it would succeed.
Its a nice SUV being sold at an entry price that makes it affordable for most buyers of Benz GL and BMW X’s.
It really isn’t especially ugly and I think it’s dumb to keep saying that. Distinctive is the word you want. I’m surprised at how easy it is to make out the lines here, that there isn’t a lot more camo crap going on (considering I’m sure no official photography for a fair while yet).
It is a hell of a lot better defined than the bastardized FX50.
The egg crate grill screams: “Ferrari” to me while the side view, with the pointier snout, reminds me of something we readers of TTAC all know and love…
I love how every armchair-quarterback car design specialists round here seems to be able to judge the detailed quality of the front design from a heavily disguised prototype…
What I can see (which is basically only the outline of the frontal area, as all other details will look different in the finished product) looks far more pleasing and sporty than the current Cayenne.
am I seriously the only person on the planet who realizes that these two cars are the same damned thing? Its like the V70 vs. the V70 XC or A6 vs the A6 All-Road or Legacy vs. Outback, or Taurus vs. Taurus X, etc etc etc.

Geez, the front end looks like the New Beetle. Now I understand why Porsche wants VW.
It’s like a CX-9 mated with a Murano!
Oh look it’s the offspring of the first gen Cayenne and a old Mercury Sable. Awesome!
Porsche has some kind of ugly virus that they need to deal with…fast.

I would never have thought it possible but they actually did it! They made the Cayenne even worse.
Surprisingly pointy front end, considering the pedestrain friendly Euro safety regulations.
There’s nothing distinctive about a brick that melted in the oven…
Why?
Must be a need for all those lease returns heading in. It’s the Cayenne exchange program.

Boy oh boy is that an ugly car. Next time warn us by telling us to put forks in our eyes first.
looks like a lifted Panamera
