“Sweet Jesus! You guys and your talk of blasphemy and not getting it. I bet your grand fathers would turn over in their graves if they about half of what you did to your rides. What in the hell do you guys think hot-rodding is all about. Everyone has his or her own vision of what they expect as they try to make their wheels an expression of themselves. Looks to me like this guy put a lot of work into his ride and just because YOU don’t like it doesn’t mean the entire world should. Next time before you make a comment try and imagine how you would feel if people began putting your ride down and all this after they took the time to post it on CarDomain. To each his own and if there is something you don’t like move on to something that does but thee’s no need to put down someone’s ride. In the mean time just try to remember, we’re all car guys and gals and while we may not all be equal in what we like or can afford we still owe it to each other to have some respect for what it is we all have in common… our wheels.”

I’ve seen a fourth-gen Camaro with that kind of 4X4 setup, and yes, I said “good lord” when I laid my eyes on it, too.
Park that sucker under a blacklight.
If it were a mid 80s Datsun it would be AWESOME!
The ultimate American car! Stonking V8, impractical, live rear axle, 4×4 capability, does the quarter mile fast, can’t go round corners.
GM will deliver it. Their market research department probably came up with this answer last month with fuel now < $2/gallon.
I can pretty well appreciate and enjoy most any car along with their owner, even if it’s not my personal taste. I’m a car guy and have been for over four decades.
I’ve sold collector car insurance in the past and have had conversations with guys with all types of vehicles, down to and including hearses (many of these guys are ‘body men’ in two senses of the word – one of them even told me that); ‘ricers’; Model T’s and A’s; Tuckers – and everything in between.
Some things I don’t personally like (this green monster being one of them). Another category of car that I kind of dislike are the extreme super long stretch limos. Assinine looking.
Ah, yes. The first picture that pops into a redneck’s head when he hears the word “supercar.”
Hope it’s for off-road use only.
If it IS legal to go on a public road in the state it is registered within I would not insure it if i was an insurance agent.
Imagine the lawsuit if the driver rear-ends a vehicle and the over-riding front portion of the jacked-up car decapitates folks in the vehicle it hits?
It needs a step-ladder..
Even with a ladder it would be a pain to climb into that thing.
I remember a ’74 Eldo rigged up like that. Ugh.
I bet your local Chevy dealer would build one for you about now…….. just to have something to do.
Can I get one in red?
About as practical as an H2 yet Cheaper!
Not gonna lie, I think that thing is really cool and seriously unique. Not exactly classy, though.
If that’s an affront to your sensibilities, I’ve seen two (not one, but two) 60s/70s Benzes that have received the same treatment.
One was an early 60s 220SE.
You’ll never go broke underestimating the taste of the American public.
(caveat – unless your initials are GM…)
No shock factor seeing that for me. In s/w Ohio, I see things like that every other day, on the road! In any given week, something like it is on our local Craigslist:

The Chevy emblem instead of a prancing Mustang just completes this bad boy.
This brings about two questions:
When will the new Camaro receive the same treatment?
If you slam on the brakes hard enough, will the body slide off the frame? (its happened, so go ahead and laugh)
Cheaper and more practical than a BMW X6!
“It’s all part of my rock and roll fantassssy, It’s all part of my rock and roll dreeeeam.”
haha, i actually saw a lifted 4 wheel drive… rolls royce! in hatteras this year. truly bizzare.
wish i had taken a picture.
I remember seeing a similar-type vehicle in Denver, with a FIAT X1/9 perched atop a 4×4 chassis. It looked like a stepladder would be needed to get aboard. It actually was being driven in traffic.
