Former McLaren designer Jim Doyle has announced that his firm JJAD will build 500 of these all-electric P1-E sportscars by 2012. An electric sportscar that goes 200 miles on a plug-in charge! Where do they come up with these ideas?

    They are probably stealing their ideas from General Motors. GM has the only conceivable and fully ready electric car. The VOLT

    I wonder if former Tesla execs had anything to do with the claims or maybe SSC showed them how to really get it done with some automotive witchcraft?

    Will it also be fully charged in 10 minutes? I say for competitive positioning it should charge in no more then 8 minutes and have a range of 300+…yea that should do the trick.

    The GM Volt, and I think an all electric Cadillac came out last week; but I am perfectly happy with my CityEL EV for top-down fun. No more rich-boys-toys for me. Next time something functional but staying EV – Xebra sedan or pick-up, Triac, Comet…. something like that.
