Back looks nice.
But you like this and slam the “flying vagina” of the the Tribeca?
I never slammed the first gen Tribeca, that was the boss. I like it, and not even just in comparison to the second gen ‘beca. The only thing I don’t like about the MiTo is the name. Call me crazy.
Also, to clarify, this is a special edition MiTo. You do actually have to already belong to the RIAR to buy one.
Do they produce a Spider version? If so I’d kill half of you to have one.

Someone needs to crash that shnoz into a wall to get that proportion back into line. It looks like it could do an endo everytime you hit the brakes.
Looks cool from the back. When you click on teh frontal view you get the rear view enlarged again.
The car is particularly nice (especially in white) but it still is a supermini (segment B in Europe) and based on the Grande Punto platform.
Same size as a Ford Fiesta, Opel Corsa, Toyota Yaris, Hhonda Jazz (Fit) Mazda 2, but with a hefty premium.
The hefty premium (20,000+ euros for the 155 hp one) puts into Mini territory, but many would gladly pay for the looks with those 8C Competizione references. At just 4 meters long could make sense as a baby Alfa.
It is more comfortable than the Mini and the “new kid in town” and Alfa could be developing a GTA version. And finally (for an Alfa) quality feels OK.
Definitely very pretty from the back. From the front, eh, it could grow on me.
I hate FWD Alpha styling. The long hood they need to make a beautifully curved shape is ruined by the enormous overhang, IMHO. I’d love to see what they could do with a proper RWD sedan though.

WHEN THE HELL CAN I BUY AN ALFA ROMEO IN THE STATES?!?!?! They make some of the absolutely best looking cars around, and I would kill to get my hands on one. I envy you Europeans and all of your exotic/cool/diesel cars.

Yeah, you could blame the gov’t regulations. Or you could blame the Japanese and Korean automakers for producing only small cars with bland and/or feminine styling.

There was a Brera coupe tooling around Montreal last year, they are very pretty (how often do you use the word “pretty” to describe a car?) and the interior is really quite nice. Someday, someday.
Oddly, there was another Mito – it was a rip-snorting little two stroke 125 sport bike made by Cagiva. Capable of 100 mph with 7 gears, presumably a wiry 17 year old at the helm. The name meant “Myth” in that case. MiTo in this case is just a silly amalgam of Milan and Turin (Torino).
Rottenbob, you have no idea – Canada missed out on the Lancer Evolution and Pontiac GTO (aka Monaro, not the original) because of BUMPER regulations. Gaaaaaahhhhhgh.

I wish they’d bring Alfas back to the US, just so I could stand outside the showroom and gawk at them like a 16 year-old.
