Imagine if GM had taken all the resources they used in developing the SSR, and instead devoted them to creating a truly competitive, mainstream, mid-sized car. Imagine….
I lol’d. At GM’s manufacture of this vehicle. Oh, and the commercial too. GM spends more money on pointless things than … anyone except the Federal government!
No soap in our house looks anything like those bricks; I thought they were sucking popsicles. Took me like 90 seconds to have any idea WTF. Can that be good?
Wasn’t the SSR developed during the time that GM had a bunch of brand managers running around that they’d hired from the CPG sector … including a lot of P&G folks?
My father-in-law has one of those SSR’s. One a recent visit a friend with a Ford Lightning let him take it for a spin. His response, “that’s way faster than my SSR.”
I seem to think that Audi introduced their “Truth in Engineering” ads during the superbowl. If so, who can argue with the “Truth in the Blacklist” ad – nothing beats Group B!
Yes, that was a very cute commercial however I also will never purchase anything from GM.
In fact, if I were to win a Chevy on the Price is Right I would of course take the car but I’d immediately put it on Ebay.

I’m guessing the remainder of the sentence after “Holy” was “shit that’s ugly!” But that’s just my theory.
Dead on, pariah.
The only really good car commercial during the Super Bowl that I can remember was for the 300ZX Turbo. I believe it was directed by Ridley Scott.
Yes, the twin turbo commercial. You can’t go wrong by mixing a 300ZX and Ridley Scott.
Corny.

wachu talken bout Willis, I love commercial, hate the car love the ad.
Hey, I think that’s pretty clever. Of course I still won’t buy the car but the commercial made me laugh.
Clever commercial, wasted on a terrible car. Would’ve been better spent on maybe the G8.
I’m with Pariah.
Don’t wash my mouth out with soap, but I f’ing hate that car.
