Ummm…It’s obviously some kind of a concept vehicle like the Suzuki X-head pickup design.
I kind of like it. We need smaller, more flexible utility-type vehicles instead of our ever-increasing “compact” pickups and SUVs. In any case, if this thing gets close to development it won’t look much like the concept – concept vehicles rarely make it to production without a lot of changes made.
Filling the market niche left open by the Geo Tracker, Isuzu Amigo and Land Rover Freelander SE3? For some reason all of those were killed. A VW Caddy style compact pickup might be a better niche to go after.
It’s a Jeep knock-off, without the giant fenders to step on when climbing out of the side window.
I’m assuming it comes with some sort of cover for the back? It doesn’t look like there’s any onboard storage for a cover in case it rains. I’m also assuming it looks really ugly with it on.
Take away all the crap on it, and it is a good idea. A simple small attractive pickup. Sell it for say…$9999. A basic working truck, or one that appeals to younger people. You know, what GM and FORD should be making.
Ding ding ding! Yes, that’s what Scion owners want in their xB redesign! Worse fuel economy, less passenger space, and something that looks MORE like our parents’ cars! BRILLIANT!
I also believe the Soul-truck will not be sold in the US. Which is a shame, because as a certified Young Person (TM), I’d so rock that.
Kia Sportage was a very competent off road race machine, and won against much bigger and more powerful opponents. As long as you held the throttle WFO, they would track straight and fast.
What ever happened to making just a basic small utility truck like the 1978-80 Ford Courier? Those were so cool. I have a 92 Dakota, and I would like to get a smaller truck next time.
Not sure, but my gaydar just went off?!?
I think it’s fabulous!
Soulsterino?
Oooh, I know, I know. Its a Kia.
I think the easier question would be:
“What is right with this picture?”
To that I would say, maybe the wheels are not so bad…
Awww. Kia mated a Geo Tracker and a Toyota FJ. It’s so cute!

The guy inside is barely 5’4″ and still has to duck. Is this thing the size of a Mini?
I’m really hoping the 2nd row of seats face rearward.
Coming soon to a sorority house near you…
New Brat has no Soul.
Nothing, it’s cool?

Exactly. Some of us only drive what we actually need.

Also, is the windshield tinted?
What’s wrong? Dirt bike won’t fit in the back.
The Tonka emblem looks just like a KIA emblem
Seriously folks, The words KIA and Truck go together like the words Honda and Truck.. or Porsche and SUV.
Oh…. wait….Damn.
Say hello to the new Red Bull vehicle!
Front windshield is tinted! Nanu Nanu
MY EYES!!!
THE PAIN!!!
Please make it stop.
Please.
It must be good, its got a fender vent!
Your roll-bar completes me.
A rolling birth control method even with the tinted front windshield!!!
The orange colour? Apart from that its fkn cool. A bit more air above the wheels would help.
Nothing says “off road” like a set of 35% aspect ratio tires.

but it’s not a pickup, they just cut the roof off in the back and left the seats there.
Q: What’s wrong with this picture?
A: Its a Kia and not a Scion.
Kia gets it and Toyota has its head up its ass.
Reminds me of the Skoda Felica Fun
-Yellow: Check
-Pick-up: Check
-Fold-out second row: Check
-From the east: Czech
Does it have frog-printed cloth seats too?

I like it… a LOT! My X-90 is getting on in years, and will need to be replaced soon. This vehicle would actually be a suitable replacement.
