Saw something almost identical in one of my pappy’s old Popular Science/Popular Mechanics/
Mechanix Illustrated magazines from the 1950’s, invented in – where else? America.
You know, back when we actually built/engineered/ thought of stuff.
Now even chicks will be able to parallel park.
I seem to recall that some guy in Paris had a Renault Alpine fitted with a 5th wheel for just the same purpose.
Plus ça change plus c’est la même chose.
That’s pretty inventive esp. from the looks of that parking environment!

My first thought was what would happen if you dropped that fifth wheel at about 60mph. Could open up a whole new division of motorsport.

What’s wrong with the picture is if that giant truck that he’s ‘parked in’ decides to leave before he does, his ‘clever’ device will reside in crumpled sheet metal and broken glass.
