Make it into a podcast. I miss them.

My first car was SV1 number 2045 – safety white. Please ask him why my car would bottom out, punching my drain plug through the oil pan every time I went over a speed bump.

With Fisker, Tesla and others launching new car companies, is it easier to do today, or does it just look that way? Also, are these companies able to use the majors’ legacy infrastructure and union agreements against them in a way Bricklin could not?

Weight is the real enemy of fuel efficiency. When will there be a wholesale adoption of the use of carbon fiber and other “exotic materials” to reduce weight while maintaining safety standards? Hypercar of the Rocky Mountain Institute comes to mind.

Wouldn’t light yet strong materials be easier to get the market to accept than hydrogen propulsion?

Since last summer, gasoline prices have dropped over 50%. Sales of small cars and hybrids have gone from setting records to filling back lots with overstock. How does Bricklin plan to meet the sales goals for Visionary Vehicles in a marketplace that is NOT driven by high cost fuel?

Ask him about the Chinese: he once said something to the effect that the Chinese have a very long way to go before they become world competitors in the Auto industry because they think they can build a car for cheap, and then spruce it up enough for the escort market. Ask him were this particular blind spot comes from, and are the Chinese going to overcome it in the near future.

Now there’s an idea. I love niche marketing. Pimp my ride!

You could ask him about his abortive attempt to partner with Chery, and if Chery’s abortive attempt to partner with Chrysler was what aborted his abortive attempt.

Ask him, who is his Chief Science Officer (CSO).

Mr. Bricklin, when the hydrogen powered car thing fails to work or get much interest from investors, what is your next get rich quick scheme?

I’m wondering if Mr. Bricklin has any plans with Chinese companies after the Chery deal fell through.

Given the famous quality problems with the Yugo, the current quality reputation of Chinese manufacturers (justified or not), and the success of Hyundai after offering very long warranties, what kind of warranty will your new company offer buyers to reassure them about your new car company and new technology?

Well knowing how Bricklin operates, “escort market” sounds about right.

Can you get a deal on an Altoid Hummer in the escort market? (Sorry, that’s the last one… promise.)
