Techy yet kinda plain. It’s a real Audi watch. I’ll bet it’s expensive, too.

Nothing is wrong with this picture.

    At all.

It looks like it’s from Autoweek, which could be called Autoweek and Watches.

You want a watch with a car connection? Steve McQueen’s Heuer Monaco Chronograph is up for auction.

It was owned by Steve himself. It was worn by Steve in the film, Le Mans. It’s got that funky/chunky 70’s square styling. So cool, on so many levels. If I had the spare cash, I’d buy this thing in a heartbeat.

The smaller dials look superimposed on the main dial as the numbers underneath the edges are just pasted over, leaving them partly showing. Usually, a watch maker will just delete them altogether.

Also if you are going to use blue metal for the hands, you might as well make all the hands corrosion proof, not just some of them.

Not a cheap watch, apparently 14k to 30k Euros.

Well anyone can tell that the time is not set to the ’10 minutes to 2 o’clock’ position as required by the International Wristwatch Advertisers Societe’ standards and as such is clearly a pirated photo. Also the hour hand is pointed to the ’55’ mark which signifies a subliminal attempt by the federal gov’t to build support for lower speed limits, higher gas taxes and boring cars. (Well, it could have been, if they were that smart)

How much do you think this watch will sell for?

Amazingly, you probably guessed too low. $33,710 for the platinum version, $20,172 for the white-gold.

    It’s not a watch. It’s a chronograph.
But it really is just the VW model with a new face.
The lower half of the band looks messed up.
    I should get a life.

The metaphorical time is all wrong. For Chrysler the time has gone past midnight. GM is at about one minute to midnight.

I’m not sure how close Audi is to the hour of doom, but it can’t be far away. As part the VW-Porsche merger, the fallout from all the hedge fund fornication will hit them sooner rather than later.

The watch should be at about ten to twelve.
