What’s wrong with this video? Nuttin!
Other than I can’t ever get the Vette, and the Beat and the Volt are too far in the future to get me excited….. *sigh* poor GM, takes them WAY too long to get things to market.

So…they come from the future, and…they look like a 2011 GM lineup?

Look, I’m all for science fiction, but this is just fantasy!

A transformers related promo without Megan Fox?

    FAIL.

This is why I couldn’t stand the Transformer’s movie — it was just one long GM commercial (with a hot girl and some sentient robots thrown in to mix it up).

I didn’t see any transformers; only GM cars driving in the desert.

I would NEVER drive a GM car more than a tow-truck’s ride away from civilization.

    Fail.

That ‘vette concept is working for me. You know, if GM ever gets the cash to make it.

There is a Volt that appears to be moving under it’s own power. ( It’s probably actually on a flat bed trailer).

I laughed when I saw VOLT. In XBOX HUEG LETTARS.

Is that the real powertrain? Anyways, they should be punished for making VOLT look like a high-performance car.

    “What’s wrong with this picture?”

Coming from a true (read: old school) Transformers fan, how much time you got, buddy?

    bay is a hack.

This and the previous “film” are nothing more than two hour GM ads where the bad guys are non-GM sleds. Did this guy even watch ONE Transformers episode?

You had Nissans, Chevrolets, VWs, Jeeps, Lambos, Porsches etc. One of the reasons the bloody cartoon got me interested in cars, not one brand of cars, cars in the first place.

I don’t what’s more ironic (if it is that); that this movie opens in the same month GM declares bankruptcy or that Transformers was originally a Japanese invention.

BTW: That Corvette looks AWFUL. It makes Honda’s HSC concept from years back look like high art.

    Isn’t GM discontinuing Ironhidethe TopKick?

  • avatar
    N85523

Yep, no more Kodiak or Topkick, but it’s still brand presence in the movies.

    Whats wrong?

How about Lame-o-tron. How would you like to be the short straw transformer forced to be a “Chevy Beat”, aka a concept car version of a future tinny, crappy little econobox with rice-boy bodykit that isn’t even available yet and will be blown out of the water by the Fit?

I know!!! The fact that GM paid billions for promoting products that it does not sell. The only car in that video that GM actually sells is the camaro. The other ones are in the fututre pipeline (like the Volt), have been discontinued (the Kodiak/Topkick), won’t be sold in the US (the trax) or are just prototypes (the corvette)

Just a waste of taxpayers’ money

Lol, I’m with brndn81 on this one:

Oh, I know! There’s not a Whine-O-Bot (for the sake of diversity it could be a Toyota or Honda!) Decepticon trying to give the other auto-bots a guilt trip for being too big or powerful. What Transformer could possibly survive it’s Super Duper Effiminate CAFE Whine attack?

    OR….

Perhaps there could have been a two foot tall Blog-O-Bot that just posts about how much he (she?) hates the other Transformers? Imagine getting to watch Maximus Prime fall before Blog-O-Bot’s devastating Ultra-Mega Flaming Sarcasm and Jargon Attack.

Might be a little heartbreaking for the kids, but the greenies will love it!

What fuels “Transformers”, anyway? I dimly remember the first movie, and I don’t recall them filling up at a Shell station before a battle…

Or do they just grab a fuel tanker, run off-camera, crack the end and guzzle from it like a Coors Light?

    @shaker

Transformers get their power from the same store Shia LaBeouf’s character stops to take a pee.

I am not implying that Transformers run on pee.

But that would be pretty funny.

    @Shogun

I would guess the “Volt” is probably some combination of 1) trailered non-runner 2) rebodied Aveo or somesuch and 3) CGI.

Probably just like every other vehicle in the movie.
