If you hate Hondas you’ll love watching them being repeatedly crashed and crunched. If you love Hondas, you’ll note that they do remarkably well in crash testing. And if you hate Coldplay, you’ll want to turn down the volume.

    …and that’s why I love Hondas!

Not so much the Coldplay, though. Disturbed’s Indestructible is both better to hear and a better fit.

Nice job Honda! And it is amazing how awesome airbags are.

My sound was also turned off. :)

I also thought this was pretty awesome, although I’d like to have seen some more videos from the 1990s and 1980s – I always wondered how the Accord LX-i hatches did in crashes…And the ’90s Civics.

    Still, an excellent compilation! Thanks!

The side impacts are the most impressive. I’ll never own anything without good side protection again. Anyone that thinks side airbags aren’t useful needs to try bashing their head against a tempered window at 30 mph.

Nice video and thx for posting. It does help Honda to be a leader in safety. That said, when will Honda get back to basics so they can keep their existing customer base. By basics I mean getting back on track with product quality and service support quality. Let’s also add get back on track with interior and exterior styling. Anyone notice how goofy their interior and exterior styling has become on many carlines? Acura is lost wondering around too.

In terms of product quality, and backing up their products, Honda has dropped the ball. Anyone out there experiencing problems with CR-V / Element diffy’s or A/C systems?

No wonder Hyundai is capturing attn. Look at their product and look how they are focused on after sale ownership.

The only Honda I ever hated was the only one I ever owned. I know they generally build good cars.

I was impressed by the ~’73 Civics in the video.

Most manufacturers can produce a video like this, and the safety differences between them are narrowing thanks to regulation and competition.

What I found most interesting is how badly the passenger compartment dynamics were for the 1994-1998 Accord in the offset crashes… the next generation cars were obviously better, but still!

The mid-70’s Civics did pretty well crashing into a wall, but I would not want to be in one hitting any other vehicle of the same vintage… imagine crashing into a 1974 Caprice… OUCH!

It’s interesting that the pickup of choice to be run into seems to be the Ram. No F150’s. I wonder why? I wonder how the determination is to get which competitor’s model to crash test your stuff against? Reputation? Known deficiencies? Price?

Dimwit, probably Chrysler put more cash on the hood at that time…
