2005 Saleen Mustang – “Barricade” from Transformers
Miles: 4,550
Vin# 1ZVFT82H755115527This is actually the screen used V8 Barricade as seen in the Movie Transfomers! Great main character movie car! There were only three of these cars built for the movie! Excellent long term collectible….
One of the most recognizable and cult classic Mustangs ever built. Right up there with the “Bullitt” car and the “Gone in 60 Seconds” Mustang! Don’t pass on a chance to own a serious piece of movie history!
Saleen Inc. teamed up with DreamWorks and Hasbro to design and produce several vehicles for the hit movie “Transformers.” After months of conceptual development, Saleen’s Troy production facility took numerous black-on-black S281 Extremes right off of the production line to star as Decepticon hunter, “Barricade,” in the movie.
The movie car built as “Barricade” was constructed as a Saleen and to give the character its evil alter ego, Dream Works also outfitted each Extreme as a Decepticon police car, including a push bar, white doors, emergency lights and Transformers/Police badging.
Condition: Is in very good condition with some minimal screen use wear. Drives and handles excellent. Powered by a Mustang 4.6 liter Saleen S281 motor and an excellent shifting 5 speed.

“NOW How Much Would You Pay?”
A dollar three eighty.
And it will be reflipped on eBay next month.
“NOW How Much Would You Pay?”
No more than the price of an equivalent new Mustang.
Transformers was a shitty movie and I highly doubt that anything associated with it will be considered “collectible” in the future.
How much for Starscream?
“NOW How Much Would You Pay?”
Not much, actually. Unless Megan Fox is wearing lingerie in the passenger seat talking dirty to me while I chase down Micheal Bay.
$4500 minus shipping, if I could turn it in for my CFC discount.
What a waste of a Saleen motor.
When asked that question by a salesman at a car dealership some years ago, I said: “one dollar” and got up and walked out.
Bidding so far: $16,800.00. What does that tell you?
It is already $16,800 MORE than I am willing to pay.
I would pay good dollar for it if I could use the lights to move people out of my way. It looks like a cop car, so people blocking the fast lane would be more than happy to move out of your way. I would never impersonate an officer, but maybe his car. :-)
Seems like it would be cheaper to just buy a regular mustang and dress it up like this mustang that was in the movie. Either way, nobody’s going to believe you if you told them it’s the car that was in the movie.
Are you kidding me?
That Mustang was awesome in the movie! I love it.
Are civilians allowed to drive around with police insignia and light bars on their cars? Even without flashing the lights, I bet people would sharpen up around you if you drove this thing.
I think all police cars should switch to the motto written on the door of that car: “To Punish and Enslave!”
As of August 15 3PM central its up to 18,000. The provenance of this Mustang is really rather narrow, contrived and won’t last long, that is why it’s being sold while anyone remembers what movie it was in. It isn’t as interesting a piece as the re imagined Bullit Mustang, because there was no ‘Transformers’ movie made 30 years ago starring Steve McQueen. An S281 runs around 45+ grand. If they recoup the cost of the 500 hp supercharged motor they’ll be doing well.
The only thing missing is Carroll Shelby’s signature on the glove box door to make the ‘instant collectable’ meme complete.
How true adub!
” It looks like a cop car, so people blocking the fast lane would be more than happy to move out of your way.” Hell, you can do that with any Crown Vic or Grand Marquis. Any color…plenty of departments use them as plainclothes cars.
And the answer is…
Bidding ended at $36,000.00 US.
Starscream costs $145,000,000
A highly (and badly) customized 1991 Dodge Stealth from Knight Rider 2000 went for 54,600.00. Takes all kinds I guess. There’s some seriously weird and cool stuff on this auction site.
“…and the “Gone in 60 Seconds” Mustang!”
Haw, haw, haw!!
Remove the light bar and flat black paint job it would be a pretty neat car.
