Well, the top photo has obviously been faked or photo-shopped in some manner or form as the car is moving but the woman’s hair isn’t flying. The side windows are down, and there’s no wind deflector behind the seats.
Any convertible owner will spot that right away.
There’s another question as to which side of the highway the driver is on, but I’ll allow that it may just be a 3-lane road beside the river or an exceptionally wide single lane.
The coupes look better, but people like to buy/drive open cars. In the case of the R8, it changes a stunning, singular design that stands out from other midengined supercars into just another convertible.
Since Lamborghini is an entirely different way that VW extracts money from customers, I’ll give them a pass with the open Murcielago, which still looks like a Murcielago because of the Reventon front end but the R8 spyder looks like just another Audi.
Well, the brown looks Photoshopped, but I’d like to see one in that color. I’m glad to see brown coming back as a stylish color for cars.
It doesn’t have the presence of the coupe, but I think the pics don’t really do it justice. It looks like a TT variant here, but should have the size in person to make a good impression.
I love convertibles though, so maybe I’m biased. But I’d love to have one of these.
FYI: Top photo is taken on the MacArthur Causeway crossing Biscayne Bay heading east from Miami leading into South Beach with the Port of Miami in the middleground. There are three lanes in each direction. And yes, there are 3 lanes each direction, separated by a palm tree lined median.
They aren’t both in my driveway right now?

That’s a waste of brown paint.
Where did today’s story about used car values go? Why was it deleted? Is it because I was right?
Lack of a second tone panel.
What’s wrong? They are both missing Nissan badges.

Is that the the Barq’s edition?
It’s missing the extremely healthy flag-bearer from the Audi booth posting?
I didn’t know that the Intercoastal ran near Ingolstadt.
Both cars have the same engine but one costs 10-times more.
They didn’t release pictures of what it looks like with the top up.

The Lambo has the V-12

The r8 looks very nice all around. I’ve yet to see it with the top up, so I shall hold my opinion on that for later.
Brown.

The Lambo pic is missing Picasso’s signature.

Yet the R8 has a German license plate …
Yeah! But is that Jack Baruth driving that R8?
And the only car that ever looked good in brown was a Jaguar.
The smug-ass expression on the driver’s face?
