    Kansas or Nebraska maybe?

Why, why WHY does Porsche keep insisting that more gadgets make a car better.

Need to rename their torque vectoring/active motor mount silliness.

Der Kompensator-for-Drivink-lik-Wanker has a nice ring to it.

Decent ad. I’d buy the Porsche just to get away from that bleak setting as fast as possible.

Obviously flawed car that can still be awesome within its limits. Just that I think it will push me to my limits to be patient and understanding of its character defects to real enjoy the car like in the video.

Thanks. This is good marketing to people who want to gloat about history and technology. Me, I’ll take a Caterham CSR any day of the week.

I admit, that’s an apples to oranges comparison. To make it fair, I’ll add in a nice loaded Golf TDI. What? I’d still have money left over? Why not a not-too restored FJ40 for off road fun?

Much more impressive to me, but no one’s making that video.

Looks a bit like Corsica to me.

I like to keep up with the latest cars and their branding largely from a childhood obsession with collecting hotwheels that turned into building model cars (I used to cut school to finish building my model cars). This morphed into a lifelong fascination with the latest offering of cars that gestated my car savvy like Spock coming of age on the planet Genesis after being left for dead in the previous Star Trek movie.

From those humble beginnings I took a fruitless walk through college to develop a life-long love of reading that sadly turned towards an interest in neuro-linguistics. And here, we see, a porsche 911 turbo, at a price point that just scolds any depraved eyes that would catch its profile in traffic or at the street corner. Or as an ex girlfriend who tried to kill me by leaving the gas stove on after she made a conjugal visit once said “you cant miss a porsche if youve never had one”. that said……..or so as if to say, the “turbo” badge on the ass of this machine reads something like U-R not Bright…..or something of the sort. My attraction to porches waned when they took the hips out of the rear section and abandoned the traditional cooling methodology that gave all satin porsche jacket wearers everywhere a commradery that oozed “f–k you” whenever they got together to compare erections……

There was a dealership in Dallas, the top one in the country I believe in the 80s, and I would drive past there with my father at the controls of his modest benzo and it being the 80s there was an exotics dealership right around the bend of the freeway that had much more rare cars, that I always wondered why anyone would buy a porsche since they are not so rare as say…. the italian or british counter parts, but still priced in close enough proximity to the far more intimidating cars that were seen much less often to achieve the desired effect of mentally scarring individuals who had a developed enough palet to gawk.

a fine commercial and a fine car none the less, theres just a bit too many porsches on the road to consider them “toxic”.
