Have to laugh at the NYTimes article describing how car customers are no longer loyal to brands. Customers that used to stick with a brand for life are now just shopping around.
Little effing wonder!
The car industry having spent the last two decades FUBARing their customers, what do they expect?
Very amusing article.

The comments thread is great.
“If G.M. produced a vehicle I wanted, it would have been at the top of my list,” he said. “But they don’t.” That sums it up in a nutshell.
He looks like the prize in a gumball machine. Also bears a striking resemblance to “Whack-a-Mole.” Either way, how does anyone expect us to take these “leaders” seriously when all the Corbin Sparrow looks like a more impressive contender?
He looks like Capt. Chris Pike in the pilot of Star Trek
Nitpick: Pike wasn’t in the chair in the pilot episode, but rather “The Cage” (which recycled footage from the original pilot). But yes, Capt. Pike’s wheelchair was precisely what I thought of first too. (Davros from Dr. Who could also work for our UK friends.)
I’ll bet that Carlos is really steamed about that clause in his contract that requires he allow himself to be photographed in any Godforsaken contraption that Engineering comes up with.
What was that car that Jeremy drrove to work at/in/through the BBC a couple of year back on Top Gear? Seems to me somebody already came up with the world’s most inane idea for personal motivation.
This is something called the “Nissan Land Glider Concept”. It is 4-wheel enclosed motorcycle that
leans into the turns for stability. I don’t think that it would make it to the US market.
Wow, now I never have to leave the bathroom again. Tell me, where do I flush?
Carmakers desperately looking for anything.

It looks like an updated Peel Trident.
FTLOG, we MUST stop designing cars that look like Pokemon and robots from Japanese Manga…..

It’s a mobile, cutesy space coffin/escape pod? What the hell, Nissan?
How about you show us a working prototype of the Leaf that doesn’t look like a cuttlefish instead?

If you want to succeed in business, dress like your boss. If you want to succeed at Nissan, design cars that look like your boss.
You can go to work in it, you can be buried in it…
It reminds me of those one person saunas they used to sell through Sears and Penney’s.
I’m not convinced it’s a car. I think it may be a washing machine.
You leave your clothes on and get your shower and laundry done all at once!
When Luke Skywalker looks over and see this, he’s going to laugh.
Hats off to the photographer. Looks like a fairly long exposure was required to capture Ghosn’s face.
Steve Urkel, the replacement for your Isetta has arrived!

Wasn’t this car in “Sleeper”?
he looks a little unhappy
wouldn’t blame him really… i bet he wants to be in his GTR
Didn’t VW build something like this that got HUGE mileage. Odd looking little toy cars.
I like small cars but this is ridiculous…
I don’t get it – he’s in the giant robot head cockpit, but where’s the monster robot body below?
Goshen is a head-in-a-jar, piloting a car, a`la Futurama…
Actually, he does look as if he’s in suspended animation.
“Change.”
Every time I see Ghosn he reminds me a lot of Mr. Bean for some reason.

Here is a video of it going through the turns.
