It’s not on sale yet, but it will be. Any guesses?
It’s a Kia! A Kia “VG,” to be precise, the replacement for the well-worn Amanti. According to Kia-World, the VG will be based on a front-drive chassis, not on the Genesis platform, as hinted elsewhere.

Ford Fiesta
Isn’t that the Blue Oval on the steering wheel?
Chevy Cruze
Ford Taurus (SHO?)
Ford SHO
New Taurus?
It ain’t the Fiesta: http://www.leftlanenews.com/us-spec-ford-fiesta-spied.html
Ain’t the Cruze either: http://www.thetorquereport.com/2008/10/2011_chevy_cruze_interior_unve.html
I thought it was a Tuarus, but I was wrong: http://www.lincah.com/2010-ford-taurus-sho
It’s not a Ford, although the only thing similiar are the oval and HVAC controls. Unless, of course it was a Euro offering.
Other brand that has an oval and trying to move some offerings upmarket: KIA. Is this the new Amanti or Optima?
WAG: Next-gen Explorer?
The owner is Federer? Sharapova?
The only ford car not on sale yet left is the focus
Hm, it’s neither the Aston Rapide nor the 2011 Infiniti M: http://www.automobilemag.com/features/news/0908_2011_infiniti_m/photo_02.html
Yes that is a blue oval on the steering wheel. Fiesta was my first thought, but the car seems too wide. Plus, there’s fake wood grain on the dash that would look totally out of place in a Fiesta.
Whatever it is, it seems to have four doors, judging by the number of power window switches on the driver’s door.
I’m with TEXN3 on this one. I was thinking a Kia version of the Genesis sedan.
Not the Hyundai Equus nor the new Sonata.
Its a Kia.
Two clues: 1) oval logo, 2) Asia women in window reflection.
The new Sonata interior with leather?
Maybe a KIA.
Don’t know what else it could be with that oval on the wheel.
It definitely has a Fordesque look to it though.
My first guess would have been Taurus.
I’m sure It is an Infiniti, but a new M45 is a guess.

Now I remember reading about this from the Seoul Auto Show: KIA VG

Must be a station wagon. There is a tennis ball to throw for her dog to fetch and only station wagons make sense for large dog owners to own.
That’s not a dog’s tennis ball. Those are soaked with saliva and live on the floor somewhere.
Subaru
Well it’s no S-class, so why do I care? Why would anyone?
Kia
TEXN3 has it! Buddy, if we had anything to give away, you’d have won it.
Everyone else, thanks for helping illustrate the challenge facing the OEMs you mentioned.
The Grand C-Max interior is alot better looking than that car
No doubt about it, that tennis ball is a Spalding.
Oh, you mean the dash? I dunno, they all look alike nowadays.
The door handles and Denso-supplied turn signals lead me to beleive it’s an asian car of some sort. Probably Korean. Looks nice at a glance!
I like this kinda of stuff…however, I shouldn’t be wasting time when I have plenty of work to be taking care of.
Pretty nice for a KIA.
Maybe in the future all new interiors will be marketed with tennis balls and a snot rag in the cupholder. “Classy living, for the everyday slob”.
This probably isn’t the correct forum/thread but since it’s come up and it needs to be said I’ll say it:
The comments about the S-class comments have equaled or surpassed the level of irritation of the original comments. They have also IMHO ventured beyond TTAC-appropriate snark and are approaching Autoblogesque mocking derision. This site is (or was) better than that.
It’s a Kia!
Chundai, Kia, whatever. Those Korean POS are looking like real cars now.
Props for them.
If this isn’t on sale yet, what are the tennis ball and the used kleenex doing on the console? And why did it have to be shot thru the window?

I’m sorry but anyone who hops on here and the first thing they say is something about thier “S” class or “Mag. 7” and the conversation is about a freaking kia, that is arrogance and they deserve any and all they get.

Road testers and engineers have dogs and runny noses, too.
Suspected KIA, but did not know which one. Too late anyway. What’s the prize?
So what’s the deal with that center stack?
Floating, and indented?
Let’s go back to the original question: ‘What’s wrong with this picture’.
I’ll tell ya what’s wrong. It could be a Toyota. Or a Nissan. Or a Honda. Or Mitsu. Or a Sube. Or a Hyundai. Or a Ford. Or a GM. Or a….
Are you gettin’ the picture, yet?
The door and center console look like Subaru, but the vents are wrong for that. I’m going to vote for a Kia of some kind.
Why are all car interiors either gray, tan/beige or black? I remember when you could get red, gold, blue, brown, white even…I like Hyundais, but they do seem to be the worst offenders of this.
Does it keep costs down or something?
Looks like GM switch gear on the center console and the steering wheel. Small Buick sedan?
Def Hyundai.
It’s full of Hyundai bits: The armrest, CD slot, door pulls, and temperature knob are the same as the Genesis Coupe: http://www.zcars.com.au/images/hyundai-genesis-coupe-interior1.jpg
Plus the Hyundai H would fit in that steering wheel oval too.
You’re driving a ford and dating an Asian women and you think its gonna help your tennis game.
I’m reading the comments here and 2 things strike me.
1. Kia’s come a long way based on some of these guesses. They should be flattered.
2. The S-class meme going on here as of late has me laughing pretty hard. Keep up the fine work fellow commenters.
If it was the new Chrysler 300 everyone would say how hard the plastic looks LOL!
Either the new Kia Optima or Amanti replacement.
I’m going to change my guess above to the new Sonata…
WWWTP:
The “metal” spokes on the steering wheel will likely be too warm to the touch in the summer.
Cowled gauges? WTF! I hate this trend. This is a Kia, dammit, not a motorcycle.
Too many buttons on the dash. But it’s either that or some variation of iDrive nonsense, I guess.
And, as someone said above, it looks like it could be found in any number of cars.
I think it’s the new S Class.
Wow…what I have gathered from the comments:
Ford interior = Kia interior.
The vents look similar to Audi/current-gen Golf.
The HVAC dials are similar to VW.
The door handle is similar to VW.
Other than that, I got nothin’.
Ooopss.. Missed the fact it was REVEALED as a Kia. Lots of VW in there, wierd.
Kia VG medium sedan
it’s nice… it’s supposed to have a Haldex 4wd option
Gotta be the new Kia Amanti, more posh than a mid-size, and a major step in the right direction from the current ‘Franken-manti’ styling hodge-podge.
MkT with an identity crisis…..
