Still too easy! rpol35 unveiled the ’68 Chevy on the first guess. Must try harder to make it harder. And why is this color so popular in Eugene? Did Maaco get a deal on a tanker truck’s worth? Did I make it hard enough yet?
Update: Someone said it was plenty hard indeed. OK; Hint: we’re looking at the right (passenger side) rear quarter.

’73 Vega.
Whew! Well, at least it wasn’t another first guess.
Hey! Who shrunk the image?
1959 Rambler American.
Front fender of Chrysler K-car (Dodge Aries or Plymouth Reliant), pre-facelift.
Oops… didn’t see that front hood edge in the picture when I posted. Not a K-car, it seems… so I’ll need to guess again.
Hmmm…
’70 Dodge Challenger
Pinto, just for the hell of it.
1984 Dodge Caravan.
’84ish Caravoyager?
too hard!
Hmmm, reminds me of the rear quarter of my mom’s mid-60s Ford XL (which was a two door coupe member of the full size Fords back then). But, looking at some web photos I’m pretty sure it isn’t that after all. Some large ‘merican two door fastback or coupe though. A Chrysler product, perhaps.
John, there’s some warmth emitting from your guess.
Mid-70’s Monte Carlo?
70 Ford Fairlane
Paul, give me a hint where it’s parked and I’ll try to find it tomorrow.
Or is that cheating?
It’ll be too late then; the article gets posted tomorrow morning. Good try.
Something about the color scheme reminds me of a Roller.
’80’s Jag? something about the narrowing/curving sheetmetal makes me lean that way.
Studie Skyhawk?
There’s something about that photo that reminds me of the rear quarter of a late ’70’s full size Chevrolet (Impala or Caprice), or possibly early 80’s vintage of the same. The contour, the way that the trunk lid lines up with the rear quarter and the corner cap (if I’m looking at it right)…not sure, though. It’s really hard to tell from this photo. I had a ’79 Caprice and this photo looks so familiar, yet something seems not quite right about it. Like it’s a bit too rounded to be a big Chevy of that era, they were more angular. I’m having my doubts now…how likely would it be for 2 big Chevys to be featured consecutively as Curbside Classics?
A 1968 thru 1970 Dodge Charger.
Plymouth Duster/Dodge Dart Sport?
I would have said series 1 XJ but it’s only been a month since one was featured as a cc so im guessing not. Though the colour also seems pretty close.
A ’66 Olds Toronado! A ’73 Matador coupe! Heck, I thought it was a jag too, but thought, THAT color? Naaah.
At first I was thinking a 68 Fairlane fastback, but I’ll go with a 66 Charger (my favorite Charger year…looked like a european GT car).
’75-’79 Cadillac Seville?
1968 Ford Galaxie XL
Paul stumped us but good on this one. Turned out to be a Mustang Fastback. Oh well :).
