I’d say Jack’s driving represented TTAC very well and that’s all that matters. He can look however he wants as long as he keeps driving like he is doing!
@Cheevie: I’m trying as hard as I can! I wore three outfits that day, which I will detail in full for the (zero) people who care:
#1) Euro-market Lacoste zip-up over Brioni sport shirt, Lucky jeans, AE Travelers.
#2) Custom-measured OMP race suit, made in Italy for Compass360. This was the outfit that offended the Jalops and the TTAC readers :)
#3) Ede & Ravenscroft candy-stripe spread-collar with a Zegna Trofeo blue/red sportcoat. Trofeo is Zegna’s exotic line and is derived exclusively from sheep which have won a particular contest.
I was dead tired, having already driven 2000+ miles that week. So I look a little sleepy at all times. Sorry about that!
Cheevie: Coming from a guy whose business website looks like a microsoft frontpage template (one that doesn’t even render properly on the third most popular web browser in use today), I don’t think you’re in any position to critique another man’s public presentation (at a car race, no less).
Jack, your green Audi – I bet you don’t need to turn your lights on at night. Does it come with HP sauce? Ok, OK, I do like it. It certainly beats the muddy colours. Nice pics.
Jack: I’m guessing those are words for fancy clothing…here in Idaho, people might look at your funny. :P Heck, buying your clothes from that guy Eddie Bauer means you’re doing pretty well, high-end flannel! Still lovin’ the green Audi though.
Csaba needs a “Member’s Only” jacket to really complete the look.
The lime green Audi A5 is completely fucking sweet. It is has some justification based on historic 911s from Audi’s cousin/owner/subsidiary (depending on how many beers Bertel has had) Porsche. And because of Audi reliability Jack does not have to worry about getting tired of the color (it’s a damn shame that Audi is making by far the best looking coupe available on the market now).
But what I didn’t realize until I saw these pictures is that the interior is red. Sure, red and green are complementary colors, but lime green not green. Black would be the conservative interior choice with lime green, off-white would be edgy, but red with lime green makes Jack either tasteless, too visionary for us to understand, or someone who got a huge discount to still take the A5 after Audi screwed up the order.
Jack,
No need to apologize- You drove an awesome race that day (I was following it with great anticipation). My comment about your appearance was very much tounge-in-cheek, and your driving did the talking for you.
You are Da Man!
BTW, I still think about your MSE series now and then and shake my head. It took some balls to write that.

Thanks Ed, Robert, and Jack.
this is cool stuff, like it.
C’mon, Jack,
I really admire your driving skills but you need to dress the part to represent TTAC’s B&B!
I know you had a rough week but you look like you fell off the woodstock bus.

Could Csaba’s jacket be any more cliche? Should have paired it with some pleated chinos and a braided leather belt.

Jeesh. If you paid as much attention to your driving as your clothing you might have won the damn thing! :P
