Edward, thanks for the site CEL update. It’s a shame you have to deal with this mess and staff changes at the same time, but it’ll be fine in the end. As long as quality content keeps getting served, I’ll keep coming back.

To our Chinese friends (who might not be able to read this anyway:) TTAC is currently unusable in China and most likely other countries that block access to Facebook. TTAC is not blocked in China, Facebook is. Facebook is integrated into the new TTAC software, which pretty much breaks it in China. We are working to resolve this issue.
As a staunch believer that “social networking sites” are generally a waste of time, I’d prefer you drop the Facebook feature until the problems are resolved, but from Bertel’s comments, that may not be possible.
How about dropping nested replies instead? I’m sure the Chinese would be happier without that feature, too!

No more lag
I had been wondering why I kept seeing the “Mobile Edition” when I came by TTAC in the last few days. When I clicked the “Exit the mobile edition” link at the bottom, it just took me right back to the mobile edition anyway.
Growing pains, I guess.

There should be no excuse from a publication that has been in business for 10 years. This is a poor quality issue with a site that rakes makers of some of the most complex machines in the world over the coals for the most minute problem.

I pay for a car, so I have high expectations. TTAC costs me nothing, and still meets some pretty high expectations! Thanks.
I can comment again but the pages are still double loading.
TTAC is no longer usable on my bberry. I used to read TTAC on the bus and subway. Now it breaks the google reader interface and the pages are way to porky to be read.
