The Prius’ organically shaped battery vent was recognized by rwb. Congratulations! Now lets move on to a different body part, the A pillar. Does this one look familiar, or does it just seem that way, or are you seeing things? Wild guesses are good, so don’t be shy.

First generation Ford Bronco?
Good guess, but first generation Ford Bronco had a piano hinge folding windshield (sorry).
also had wipers on top of window frame
Yeah, you guys are right…for some reason the wipers reminded me of my Maverick (first car) which used some of the same parts as the Bronco. The upright windshield made me think “boxy,” but I forgot about the hinges and the wipers being mounted to the header.
I’m thinking 60’s Corolla
FJ 60 Land Cruiser
Datsun product, not a Roadster or S30 (Z-series). My 240z has wiper linkage that is quite similar.
I am voting Datsun 510.
“Poor man’s BMW” as our mechanic used to call it. Apparently, (to him anyway) it and the BMW 2002 were popular with duck hunters because these small vehicles with IRS, were good on rough trails near their bluffs. IIRC, it had a chrome swing flap on the C-pillar for the gas cap.
To me, it looks like it either has to be European or older Japanese based on:
windshield frame
that hood “panel” under the wiper
the A-pillar rain gutter
So I’ll agree with the 510
Is this one of the revolutionary CCs, or just any CC? Not that I’m going to try to guess it. So far I’m batting 0 for 0. It does look jeepy, but doh.
I agree with the 510.
The wipers look late 60’s/early 70’s, and it appears that there’s no vent window either, so it’s probably post ’68…..
Yup. 510.
If the wiper arm didn’t have the fixing nut I’d have said Dodge Dart.
This must be an european car.
Left hand drive, but with rain and seals that bad, it MUST be English….
That’s what I was thinking too. The GM Epic Envoy popped into my head for some strange reason – or maybe not strange for my head.
but having just googled the 510, I would have to agree!!! haha
Mid 60s “Jeepster”
I was going to say Fiat 128, but that would’ve been wrong… Datsun 510, indeed.
Initially I thought it was an early to mid-seventies Volvo. However, I’m outnumbered by the Datsun 510 crowd.
Mini 1000?
Hard to believe this is a car with such an upright windshield, I thought it would be a mid sixties SUV but I guess not.
Early 1970’s Opel Manta.
It’s an International
Toyota Carona? Something about that reminds me of my Dad’s old celery green one.
windshield’s too steep to be a 510
Datsun 510 or Fiat 124?
My guess is a Toyota FJ-55 Land Cruiser. The only thing that I cannot figure is the lack of a vent window.
