No, it’s not an Infiniti, and yes, it is Chinese. Chery’s M14 is testing in UK, reports China Car Times, where Lotus is reportedly helping tune the engine and suspension settings.

It’s not THAT obvious.
Like Hell it aint.
Why the hell can’t lotus tune something on my freakin’ Mazda?
Looks like a lexus and a jag had a baby except it’s shaped like a Neon from the profile?
You can’t have Lotus tune your Mazda because Lotus is still mad that Mazda took the Elan design and made it ten times better and ten times more reliable.
Plus, tuned by Lotus means absolutely crap, so Mazda wouldn’t waste its money licensing it. It’s basically a way for start-up/economy car makers to put a fancy name on their cars (and maybe get a little bit of consulting). “Tuned by Lotus” is a very far cry from a Lotus Elise. It’s kind of like when super high end home stereo companies license their names to OEM car stereos. Another way to think of it is Chrysler TC by Maserati.
By the way, it takes one hell of a fat girl angle shot to make this look like a G37 coupe, and Infiniti wasn’t the first company to do boomerang headlights anyway. In the side profile it is just another FWD compact coupe, kind of a blobby version of a Kia Forte Koup (that how they spell it).
I *LOVE* your username :D :D :D
This is true. In reality I’d really like Addco to make me a stiffer set of swaybars and I’ll sit down and be quiet :)
They knocked off the Infiniti logo, no?
Actually it looks like the front of the current Impala with new headlights.
+1 on the Impala
And so the mimickers get mimicked. Let the faux outrage begin.
How can the Chinese get away with this constant ripping-off of CURRENT models? I could see it as passable if they were trying to make an I30, but that car is wayyyy too close to a G35/G37.
So they knocked off the grill and headlamps. There’s no way anyone’s going to mistake that car for a G37. It’s not like the Yaris/xB knockoffs.
I refuse to buy ANY auto that looks like it’s staring at me, much less grinning stupidly (even if it’s likely a decent car and good value–here that, Mazda?).
if anyone actually mistook that for an Infiniti then they need their eyes tested like the people that think the new Tucson/i35x is a Lexus RX ripoff
G37 is fugly, they should’ve ripped off of the G35, which is quite elegant. It’s like they took the G35, punched it in the face, and bumped the model number up by 2.
Scion tC with funky headlights.
Whatever, car makers have been ripping off each other for years. People used to say the same thing about Hyundai.
