In India, they take their smallest and cheapest car and somehow stuff 20″ wheels on it. In the US, we take (what was once) the proudest luxury car in the land and put 13″ wheels under it. It takes all kinds of wheels to make the world go ’round. Close up:

I normally tend to ignore cars with very large or small wheels, but coming on the heels of today’s $220k Nano, I couldn’t resist this. I asked the driver how it drives and handles; he grinned and said “awesome!”.

Plenty of room to clean out the wheel wells…
Btw, the Japanese don’t do wheels on the TC… (this is not my pic, but reminds me of one I saw in Hiroshima in ’02 … unfortunately that roll of film went missing, so I lost the pic.)
Looks like something the Shriners would drive to a parade.
+1 You nailed it … perfect description.
Lacking dingle balls around the windshield
I can appreciate these wheels if you’re going for that classic LA low rider look. I don’t appreciate seeing them on huge cars as they barrel down the highway at 65mph+.
Okay, I’ll say it: Whiskey tango foxtrot?
But with the current temperature here in the single digits (fahrenheit), it would be awfully easy to install snow chains.
Wonder how bad his speedometer error is?
FYI: major brake and suspension work are needed to get those wheels on a 1998+ Town Car. 12″ rotors and twin piston calipers don’t care for 13″ wheels.
Major work on the suspension no doubt, would love to have seen a picture of it sitting down on its hydraulics or airbags or whatever… But I figured they just used some hub spacers to clear the brakes? Those wheels look pretty deep-dish to start with, for their size.
What a gumby! , I mean you let a wanker like that drive on your roads. Looks stupid, his “awesome” drivability means it probably lurches from corner to corner endangering everybody else. Bet no engineer approved that conversion. Don’t you have roadworthy laws over there. Over here that would be off the road as soon as a cop looked at it. Only in America “sigh”.
Here in the United States we have so much space that we can stay the hell away from this abomination, this ensuring our personal safety.
In any event, no country is immune from questionable modifications made to vehicles, at least none of the many that I’ve visited.
Guess they finally ran out of ’64 impalas to make lowriders, I think the intentions were in the right place…just that the car’s all wrong!
Airbags on a classic luxury car, kinda cool. Tiny tires, definitely not.

Low for show, high for go!
I guess he wanted to be able to take advantage of those $29.00 tire advertisements. I’m sure the dry weight of the car alone exceeds the weight rating of those things!
My ’68 Fury came with standard 14″ wheels. How times have changed.
As did mine.
Is that your xB a couple of cars behind this insect-like thing?
Lots of stopping power for a 4,000lb car.
Sheesh.
Probably a result of the failing finances; dude got laid off, had just too much time on his hands, yanked the wheels off his granny’s 85 Corolla. Idleness is the root of all evil!
I’ve never been a big fan of radical mods. I would have to question the safety of this beast.
Though its refreshing to see the young people modifying domestics. When you see some of the stupid things done to Civics and Camrys.the big Lincoln is not that far out of line.
My dad’s early 1960’s Lincoln Continental came with 2-ply rayon 14’s and tiny drum brakes inside. I’m sure this one is a hell of a lot safer than factory stock was back then and most of us survived.
It looks like a skateboard. All it’s missing is a baggy-panted dude on the roof.
I can’t ID the building. A candidate for peopleofwalmart?
Judging by the red line and poles it’s a Target.
A reverse Donk!
It looks like a lowrider, but apparently it doesn’t have the hydraulics installed. Installing 28″ rims and wheels would probably be safer and make more sense.
I wouldn’t mind seeing it turn a corner or ride over some speed bumps, just for laughs.
