The last clue was a a bit tricky, what with the old round Chevy taillights grafted onto the ’76 (or whatever year) Nova. But Don C came through, and nailed it. Congratulations. Some folks’ creative impulses can make the CC Clue a bitch. Anyway, this one shouldn’t cause any head scratching; or will it?

My first impression is of a 1952 Ford Pickup.
1951 Ford F1?
’50s Ford PU. Can’t pin it down further.
51 – 52 Ford pick-up
Edit – Oh never mind, got beaten to it by three people.
I’m more of Chevy person – but if this is a Ford F100, it probably is a 1954 with a 6 cylinder and three on the tree.
With that said – I remember grille fascia ever having a chrome look. Trucks usually had painted, not chrome grilles.
51 Mercury truck
53-56 ford truck?
As I recall, the 1949-1950 Ford sedans could have an optional center headlight that actually followed the steering! I just don’t remember if this was a factory option or aftermarket… factory, I think.
Mark
Edit – I’m finding no source that will back me up on it following the steering like the Tucker – I’m sure I read it somewhere…
Not a Ford Pickup as they have a separate headlight bezel.
Unless you’ve come up with a Borgward, I’m sure it’s a ’51 F-150, chrome or not…
I agree, a 51 Ford F1 headlights look about right. I’m still guessing why there is a chrome grille.
1953 Chevy
I’m changing my answer – it’s a ’53 Packard. We aren’t seeing the headlight, but rather a driving light in the grill.
I think you might be on the right track. The 51-53 Ford/Mercury Pickups have a different housing around the lens than in the photo.
Not a ’53 Chevy.
Dynamic has a damn good guess, but I think it’s too cheap for the Packard.
It’s a 1950 Ford, and the picture shows the center light.
Not that I’m a specialist on old Fords (although my dad used to own a Ford Y and decades later a Sierra), but the answer was obvious: https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/curbside-classic-1950-ford-a-true-love-story/
It’s after the fact so I now know from your Curbside Classic post what it is though I would have never come up with the correct answer.
My first thought was a Tucker, but even with your sleuthing skills I doubt you’d find one of those on the streets of Eugene.
