Ok, today is a two-fer. Not by design, but this little gold car happened to pop up in the background as I was looking for my Clue. The CC is in the foreground, though. My goodness, what bulging taillights you have! A very hearty hurrah to SFO in training for the absolutely superb guess on the center headlight kit of the 1950 Ford. Awesome!

1984-1988 Mitsubishi Mirage/Dodge Colt/Plymouth Colt.
BANG!!!
Third – all in favor?
AYE!
1979-ish Honda Prelude in the foreground?
I second that notion.
Let’s not forget that the CC is in the foreground. You may might be right on the bonus point, but that only counts if you guess the CC!
Late 70s/early 80s Honda Prelude.
1978-82 Prelude. The car in the background looks like an ’85 or so Plymouth Colt sedan. My first grade teacher had a wagon version of one of them.
too late, but.. 1978-1982 Honda Prelude.
I forgot to read the instructions because I became too ecstatic right when I saw the gold car. -___-
Yes. First Gen. Honda Prelude
I will go out on a limb with a 78-80ish Toyota Tercel
Is that a Proton Saga in the background?
What happened to my response? It vanished!
Anyhow foreground is an early 80’s Prelude
Background is a Colt
give me any tail light on an American car, ’55-’65, and I’ll get it. But this thing… sheesh. I’ll take everyone’s word it’s a Prelude from ~1980, but I never would have gotten it.
I keep hoping for something from that era too. No way I would’ve gotten either of these CCs.
Mitsu Tredia and an old Prelude.
After lurking for years, I created an account so that I could take a stab at the CC…and my comment didn’t post. =( I guessed ’79-ish Prelude.
hotdogmaki, welcome to the club, and sorry about the delayed comment. First time comments are automatically delayed (don’t know why). Sorry. But from your time stamp, you were first with the Honda Prelude guess. And your first comment is up now. If it’s right, you’re the man (I presume that’s your gender).
Damnit… beaten to the punch… the Mitsubishi is pretty damn distinctive, and it’s the first CC I felt I had a good chance of getting…
Gold car is a mid 80’s Colt, most likely. However…I will be the (so far) lone dissenter and say that the car in the foreground is not a first generation Prelude. The shape of the tail light isn’t right for a Prelude. The angle is different on the side and the Prelude tail light is wider and has a thin chrome surround. Having said all that, though, I really can’t figure it out. It reminds me of a 1988 or so Chrysler New Yorker, but I’m pretty sure that’s not it, either.
Agree,
Prelude 78-82 tail light was a squarish piece and rather flush.
Something projecting like that seems imported if it’s post 60ish.
Gold car is a 1984 Civic sedan.
I think the gold car is an AMC Eagle.
Somewhere in the deep recesses of my brain, I know these cars … but I’m unable to blurt out an intellegent guess. Twenty years of living in the Detroit area has stunted my knowledge of imported cars.
Ok, the Prelude is decided,,, but is the gold car an AMC Reliant? Just a W.A.G.
Mitsubishi Cordia
