How cramped is the back seat of that thing? It looks like the head room would limit occupancy of the back seat to small children.
It is a great GM tradition to make sure that the back seat is cramped. My father once owned an early 70s Eldorado. It was a beast, more than 18 1/2 feet long, with an 8 liter engine. But, the there was almost no leg room in the back seat.
I sat in one at a customer clinic a year or so ago and there is plenty of room in the back.
Much more than in the Cobalt and on the order of the old A bodies. It seemed very well packaged, but the front doors seemed right out of the current car.
I thought it was quite good looking and was wanting to get one, but but that was before the collapse and the bailout. And the problems I had with my ION.
GM went backward in quality from even my 99 Cavalier, which ran flawlessly from day one and never failed to start.
Plus it’s been so long since I have seen it, the thing seems dated now, like it’s been on the market for 5 years already.
Styling wise IMO it’s better looking than the Civic and Sentra and the equal to the Corolla. It should at least be a competitive offering in this segment but I agree that there won’t be many conquest sales.
If it wasn’t for its big nose, that car would be quite handsome.
A big nose isn’t so bad if there’s a large engine to go in it. The Cruze won’t so….ehhh…
Why do you think it has a big nose?
Looks like a real nice Daewoo. What’s with all the bowties slapped on it?
It makes it look cheap
Is this the NASCAR limited (we’ll make as many of ’em as we can sell) edition?

I’ll wait for the Focus or Fiesta.
Very bland car. Don’t see many conquest sales in future, but might sell to those already in the fold.
Not a bad looking car, then I closed my eyes and remembered how those platforms drove. I’ll pass again this year.
What cars on Delta II have you drove?
The new Ford Focus is going to blow it away…
