The ’54 Cadillac’s AC inlet vent stimulated some cool guesswork. I’m a little challenged to say if there’s one winner, since these were used for some time. SOF in training first nailed it for what it is generically. But the duke really nailed it, with his guess of a ’55 Caddy, and the pic to go with it. So I’m going to give him the win, because the angle and other details match up. Congratulations, once again.

1975 Cadillac Seville.
John,
I think you got it.
Dang, John Williams nailed it! Unless it’s a 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88.
Olds 98… or Cutlass Supreme… or Delta 88.
I choose the 98.
I second the Olds 98.
I would have said Olds 88, but the chrome molding along the edge of the taillamp matches up more with the Seville.
1978 – 84 Pontiac Grand Prix
1979 Olds Cutlass Supreme (or Salon) coupe.
LTD, 78-82’ish
+1
I’ll second that.. Maybe a 79 LTD with 351w motivation?
The red rubber stripe on the bumper makes me think Thunderbird/Cougar though..
Delta 88 me thinks.
1st gen Seville me thinks
I’ll go for 81 Oldsmobuick. 79 Cutlas Calais.
I’m quite certain John Williams has guessed correctly. This looks very much like a Mark I (1975 to 1979) Cadillac Seville. On the Seville the edge of the trunk lid does not come down flush with the bumper molding (ie, just as shown in the photo). The chrome molding around the rear light cluster and the white accent stripe on the light are also exactly as you would find on a Mark I Seville.
My guess would be 70’s cadillac seville or some type of oldsmobile.
Ist generation Cadillac Seville
I know its not a 77 Cutlass, my Dad had one of those. I think John did nail it with the first gen Seville, but it could almost be any late seventies/early eighties rear drive GM vehicle…
Oh I get it, it must be Green Cadillac Week!!!
Yeah, after extensive research, I too believe it’s a first gen Seville.
80’s GM B-Body wagon.
I’m almost positive this is a 76 seville…I don’t believe we had that color in 75 – Just sayin’
Olds Cutlass entered my primal mind before reading the other guesses. Unable to take a stab at the year, though. late 70s? Early 80s?
Wondering if the tornado warning being broadcast is relevant to the shanty’s locale?
If I never post again been semi-nice “knowing” y’all.
Wonder if hillbilly heaven will be my eternal Heck?
Sniff.
Ford Fairmont Wagon.
Very close. I’m thinking the LTD wagon from the mid-80’s that was based on the Fairmont wagon. That white pinstripe (that may or may not have been chrome originally) gives it away for me… unless I’m wrong.
First Gen Cadillac Seville for sure. Nothing says General Motors quite like crumbling and collapsing plastic body fillers. BTW – No Fairmont ever had chrome bumpers that shiny. They all looked like hazy aluminum.
It looks like all the above, so it stinks like a deadly sin.
One more vote for a 79 LTD.
The 1979 Ford LTD taillight had vertical ribbing, without the thin gray stripe around the edges, if I recall correctly.
The 1978-80 Cutlass Supreme rear bumpers have indents in the upper portion of the bumper where the taillights meet the bumper.
This is a first-generation Cadillac Seville.
A very undetailed 68 Mercury Montego, 390, C6 that will smoke the heck out of the right rear tire!
1977 Oldsmobile 88
1st-gen Seville is probably right, but if not, I’m going to go with something different — 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88.
I’m going to break away from the crowd and say it’s a late 70’s Dodge Diplomat or Chrysler Lebaron.
There was one down the street when I was a kid, same colour too.
On a side note, why did it take so many decades for Detroit to give the white accents on the tail lights the burial it so richly deserved? I always thought it made a car look cheaper.
