…with Lancia badges! And yes, that is the Lancia Grand Voyager. Chrysler must have held on to the name after Plymouth kicked the bucket. Of course, few consumers in the European markets where Lancias are sold will get the reference to a defunct budget brand, but the decision does add to the surreal vibe that these Chrysler-cum-Lancias exude.

Surreal?
I’ve seen a lot of Chrysler mini-vans in Europe. Very popular with certain sets, and with a better distribution network I think they would do well.
The compact, as people noted yesterday, is quite handsome.

Sorry but your are wrong. The minivans stopped in 2007 and as of 2009 no Chrysler respectively Jeep product is being manufactured in Austria.
Is there really a market in Europe for American-specific big vehicles like the Caravan or the 300?
Also, why would an European buy a Sebring??

Go Chrysler! I think this is great. Anything to build up the brand, as long as the quality and perception of the brand improves. I like it/them.
Chrysler has always used the Voyager name for the T&C in Europe. The Voyager has always been popular in Europe and is considered a very decent vehicle for its purpose. The former Lancia Phedras have not done that well and I assume that’s why they keep the Chrysler’s name.
I can tolerate this. But as soon as they put the Fulvia name plate on something inappropriate, then that’s it. I’m declaring war on Italy.
The Chrysler Voyager and Grand Voyager names were ALWAYS used in the EU. They never had the Caravan or T&C names over there.
The Fulvia (my 1st real car), the Stratos, the Integrale and now…the Town & Country?
At first glance, the pictured minivan looks just like a Volkswagen Routan…..
This whole Lancia rebadging process is a bad joke and will not work in Europe. Until Chrysler was taken over by Daimler, Chrysler had achieved a good customer base with the Minivan which they manufactured in Austria at their own plant until 2002 and from there on until 2007 at a job shop facility.
Lancia is a zombie brand half alive in Italy and dead anywhere else in Europe.
At least up to the point when Lancia was inherited by Fiat they were know for unique Italian style cars, but once Fiat put their hand on it ( just the same with Alfa) they cannibalized the brand and sent it off into oblivion.
rebranding chryslers as lancias will not help in Europe.
especially since the sebring (err, sorry…200) has been a cruel joke in this market, despite the addition of diesel engines from VW.
hey, why not brand Compass as Integrale? they should all put down the crack pipes and go design some macchinas, for chisssakes!
