The best way to show you love a topic isn’t to write it a love letter but to treat it in an uncompromising manner.
Time Magazine nails the core of TTAC’s philosophy, while naming us one of its 25 “best blogs of 2011.” Excuse us while we pat ourselves on the back…

Well done yourselves, and well-deserved too.
Mad props… glad you guys are getting the attention you deserve.
Congrats, and keep up the good work!
Only one of the 25 best? You slackers! Should be NUMBER ONE! TTAC certainly is in my book.
Good job. Now change the logo.
Whats wrong with the logo?
Nice job guys. I’ll bet it feels pretty good to get some mainstream, third-party validation. You’ve earned it.
That said, @ psar, +1.
Please, let’s not start the logo debate again ;)
Congratulations to all @ TTAC, and that includes founder Robert Farago! Well done!
@fiasco…
If one is quiet, one can hear the sound of Mr. Farago’s indifferent sneering scowl as it forms somewhere in Connecticut.
Seriously, RF…you were the soul of this blog for a long time….your ascerbic wit and acidic erudition set the style tone for others to follow…your profile should be the LOGO, dude.
2 thumbs WAY UP….
Hahahaha!!!!
Ah yes! Robert Farago. I remember his writing. Things have changed a bunch since Robert Farago left. At least ttac is recognized for its continued excellence. ttac sure blows away all the other opinion boards. Good work Ed, and team.
Following that idea, I have the following to say: “TTAC sucks. Try harder next time.”
Am I surprised? Not. Time Magazine, and TTAC, whose bloggers live within 600 miles of the UAW stronghold named Metro Detroit, share the same basic love affair of Marxism and Socialism.
You’re clearly thinking of Ronnie, who loves Marx so much that he’s grown a beard to emulate him.
Nah, I’m more of a Groucho Marxist. The mustache is the giveaway.
Michael, it’s cool that they took note of your Outlander review. For all the criticisms we might have of “old” media, it’s still nice to get noticed.
I was going to comment, but Michael’s take was just so much better than anything I could possibly have come up with.
Psar, this is off topic but read this op/ed piece.

And congrats for the ranking.
Everyone who lives within 600 miles of Detroit is a Marxist. Including people who live the southern reaches of Nunavut. It really is kind of frightening.
Then you best not look under your bed.
YEAH!
You guys are the best!
What is this Time magazine you speak of?
Seriously, congratulations!
On an unrelated note….TIME magazine is a bunch of journalistic wankers who couldn’t identify an automotive trend if it ran over their grandmother…..now we know from where they have been cribbing their automotive coverage….
But wait…If Time magazine…And they crib from TTAC…Then…?
Anyway, a tip of the hat to TTAC.
Any of the other blogs on this list worth a frequent read?
A good award from a dubious source.
+1 to TTAC, and +10 for this observation.
Congrats! Very well done guys!
Don’t worry about the “Shameless Patting Self on Back-itis” disease-vector/iocaine-powder thing; anyone whose read even one of Jack’s posts has built up their immunity to its ravages, just by dint of long-term repeated exposure. :P
Keep on rockin’!
Bravo. And a hearty man-hug all ’round.
Well done
I noted the lack of a comments area at the Time site where I, the cute, cuddly shanty-bound Obbop could declare my favorite aspect/portion of the TTAC blog is the comments deposited at TTAC by the Obbop character.
I returned and scrolled through the list of blogs.
I am gravely offended.
Dumpsters I Have Known and Loved did not make the list.
Bah!!!!!!!
Ed and team,
Congrats on some well deserved kudos. Keep up the great work.
I’m pretty smugged up about this.
Congratulations.
A lot of back handed compliments in here today. Like telling someone that they really look good for their age.
Nice job TTAC.
Cool…TTAC and Consumerist are daily reads for me!
Great job everyone!
@Michael Karesh,
You owe me one keyboard, buddy. Your comment to jj99 made me shoot Guinness out of my nose! :)
Congrats Ed and gang. Finally getting some long overdue mainstream credit.
I agree completely with Time’s logic on this one. It’s far more useful to the cause to be the in house critic than to be a cheerleader.
It helps that the web site is actually readable. Excellent web design helps lend some credibility to the already excellent analysis done here every day. Keep up the good work!
