And here, a glimpse of the exhilarating Kennesaw (without h) nightlife. It’s hopping.

Wiki “fact” : “The city of Kennesaw was selected by Family Circle magazine as one of the nation’s “10 best towns for families””
WTH are you guys doing there anyways?
“WTH are you guys doing there anyways?”
Heh I asked them that in the other post about heading south, didn’t get an answer. Glad to see I’m not the only one confused by it.
It’s not time for the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party(tm) yet, is it? (Which is still held in Jacksonville anyway, if memory serves)
Slow news week? Month?
Stupid comment? Person?
You two wanna get in a ring and wrassle it out?
Which one of you is getting tattooed?
Boring! Please post people who shop at them Walmarts.
For real excitement you have to head over to Marietta.
Is this all supposed to be funny? It’s not. Nor is it entertaining.
Hey, watch that kind of talk! I live in the south! Well, south Kitsap County….
I know that team TTAC sometimes seems to be composed entirely of blogging machines with little interest in anything outside of the business, politics, law and culture of the car world… but we need to cut loose a every once in a while just like everyone else. But don’t worry… we visited an auto auction today (stay tuned for an outsider’s look at Steve Lang’s life on the sharp edge of the car business) and we are going to visit several transplant factories while we tour the South. And before you know it we’ll be chained to our computers once again, dishing out a non-stop buffet of car-centric content.
In the meantime, we apologize for any dip in the quality or quantity of our content. We’d love to give you a non-stop, seven-days-a-week firehose of the best automotive writing available, 365 days out of the year, but alas, human frailty demands the occasional interlude. Please bear with us while we indulge….
Keep looking for an auto auction and maybe you can find Steve Lang, who thinks Newt Gingrich had something to do with the construction of the East/West Connector/Barrett Parkway.
Kennesaw is a very nice place.
I would really like some of you sharp-eyed reviewers to describe to us the impact of the automobile on a place as safe and normal as Kennesaw. Why is this place so darn typical? This that a good thing?
Make it interesting. There are stories to tell from places like that. Tell us why auto manufacturers are finding these Southern communities so attractive. It isn’t just about costs, is it?
Have a fun time guys! The weather should be very pleasant!
so….when do we get a “tour of SE Michigan” in the near future? You could spend 3 weeks in the Detroit area and not touch everything related to the automotive industry.
I grew up about 15 minutes north of Kennesaw and I still live less than 45 minutes away. It was a sleepy little town that experienced explosive growth over the last 20+ years. Now it’s known for it’s traffic congestion, with a 5-mile drive across town taking 30-40 minutes at peak times!
Kennesaw earned worldwide media attention back in 1982, when they passed a law requiring every head of household to own a firearm AND ammunition! They revised it a year later to exempt conscientious objectors, felons, mentally-ill persons and paupers (poor) from the requirement. But the law is still on the books to this day!
