With a strong November under its belt, BMW is planning the festivities for a record year. The BMW Group sold 138,978 units in November, up 7.7 percent over November 2010. For the year, global sales stand at 1,510,862  units in the first eleven months, up 14.5 percent. 

BMW sees no problem in reaching its sales target of 1.6 million units for 2011. Growth in November came from the BMW X3, the BMW 5 Series and the BMW 6 Series.

In Europe, retail volumes increased 8.3 percent to reach a total of 775,834 units. In China, sales rose 40.7 percent in the first 11 months to 215,023 units.  In the U.S., a total of 272,873 vehicles were sold in the year to the end of November – 14.6 percent more than the previous year.

    Anyone up for an online petition to ask BMW to go back to using the last two numbers to reflect displacement? They were annoying me last gen, now the 2.0 that is the 328 just pisses me off.
