The initial shots of the Ferrari F12berlinetta looked suspiciously re-touched for our liking, so some live shots were a necessity before making any final judgement on the car. If you ask me, it looks even better without excessive rendering.
The F12berlinetta replaces the lovely 599, but packs an even more substantial V12; 740 horsepower is expected from the 6.3L V12, allowing it to hit 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. A 7-speed dual clutch transmission will help the car go all the way to 211 mph. A curb weight of 3,362 lbs is refreshingly light for a V12 supercar.

I love the proportions and the swooping lines, however, the corrective orthodontic device is somewhat off putting. Like Megan Fox with braces.
Yup — Megan wearing braces up front and a thong in the rear.
I don’t mind the braces, but that thong is terrible.
Any way you look at this Ferrari abomination , its fugly . Almost making the FF look good ! Almost
The F12 looks to my eye a cross between a Hyundai coupe ( bad thing ) and a mis shaped 599 ( IMHO one of Ferrari’s worst designs up and until the FF ) , with a dose of 458 cut & pasted in on all the wrong places
Get a few shots up of the new Ital Design Brivido concept . Now THAT is Italian design ( owned now by Germans [ VW ] ironically )

Except the spec sheet–3300 lbs!
This one is at least more distinctive, especially in back–the last 5 years of Ferraris all blur together for me (458 excepted).
There’s no small resemblance to GM’s C7/Stingray concept, here.
I think it depends on your perspective. I’d argue that all Vettes since 1968 are but a footnote to the Ferrari 250 GTO, in terms of overall proportions — and Ferrari’s been working those same general proportions since the 550 Maranello.
It’s the details, rather than the proportions, that there’s some of the C7.
I agree and said the same when I saw the touched up images before. It does look better in these images.
Nice that the weight’s coming down. Not nice that they’re looking to second-rate anime instead of their own rich history for decent front-end design cues. From the front, that thing looks completely ridiculous, like somebody’s idea of a weird, expensive joke.
It still looks like it’s wearing a diaper. Proportions are nice, though.
No, it’s the thong bikini theme of the 1%.
One of the most beautiful cars in a LONG time!
It’s those side swoops that ruin it for me…but paint it black, and it should look great. also takes care of some of those problems in the front…and the back, now that I think of it.
Pretty neo-baroque, for a Ferrari…
Does anyone know what that black plastic box in the middle of the rear bumper is?!
I’m undecided on the overall look, however I am sure about not wanting my Italian supercar leave the factory with something that looks like a bolted on afterthought for… whatever… I can’t even imagine what it could be for…
It’s for a teeny drag ‘chute.
Maybe a mock Formula 1 rain light? If true, I’ll start building the gallows from which we can hang the designers.
My guess would be a rear fog-lamp but they’re supposed to be placed towards the driver’s side of the vehicle and not in the centre. It could also be a reversing lamp.
It’s like the CR-V, in that it has a very attractive mouth; it’s just a bit out of scale to the rest of the facia. Fortunately, both look better after a toke.
They’re kinda like Gina Gershon.
Outstanding.
