The Volkswagen Group Night may sound like a swing party holdover from the good old days at VW, but it’s not. It’s the Geneva Motor Show pre-party. Everybody who is somebody must be seen at this event. Cars are also shown. Here they are.
Martin Winterkorn, CEO of Volkswagen of Volkswagen, was the showmaster.
Ulrich Hackenberg, R&D Chief at Volkswagen, showed the Volkswagen study “Cross Coupé with TDI plug-in hybrid”.
Matthias Müller, CEO of Porsche AG, showed the new Boxter.
James Muir, CEO of Seat, showed the Toledo Concept.
Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, showed the new Aventador J.
Wolfgang Dürheimer, CEO of Bentley and Bugatti, showed the new Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse.
Dürheimer also showed the new Bentley EXP 9 F.
Winfried Vahland, CEO of Skoda, showed the new Citigo.
Rupert Stadler, CEO of AUDI, showed the new Audi A3.
Wolfgang Schreiber, CEO of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, showed the Amarok Canyon concept.
Walter de Silva, design chief and Giorgetto Giugiaro, Head of Italdesign, showed the Brivido.

“Brivido” is Bravado with a bit of libido?
Where are the photos of the sexy party??
“Geneva Auto Show: The Men Of Volkswagen Strut Their Cars…”
I laughed when I saw the first picture and it was a bunch of cheerleaders.
Anyway the stuff looks good, except for the Bentley. That thing looks awful.
+1, that Bentley is getting destroyed in the blogosphere – and rightly so. It’s a lazy design, gaudy as anything and just terrible all around. Were I Bentley, I’d be embarrassed.
Their “stuff” appears to be a taste for ill-fitting suits.
I think, at least for the younger, thinner guys, the suits may well be Italian and thus the close fitting cut.
That seems to be a trend in recent years to have suits cut like that – if you have the body for such a cut to begin with.
The others look to be wearing a more traditional cut suit.
Though it is kind of hard to tell in many of the photos for sure though.
The only thing wrong with that Bentley are those high profile tires. It will be a massive hit for rappers, football players (of all types) and other flashy folks.
It looks like a London cab with Bentley grill
I want that pickup. Any chance of it coming to the states with 3 pedals?
I gather they’re sold in South America. Why not here in the US, I don’t have a clue.
I think the Amaroks are all manuals, which is a bit of an Achilles’ heel when it comes to sales.
Yeah…Everyone knows that the US market is ripe for a small pickup to replace the Ranger.
Why the heck isn’t the Amarok sold here!?!? Good grief is that 60’s chicken tax still in place?

I like that Toledo, as long as it doesn’t have an electrical system by VW.
