Volkswagen will begin producing Porsche Boxsters at an old Karmann plant in Osnabruck, Germany starting this fall. The Boxster will be built alongside the Volkswagen Golf Cabrio.

The Osnabruck plant is limited to 100,000 cars a year. The Osnabruck plant will handle the overflow production, similar to how Finland’s Valmet Automotive formerly built Boxsters at their Uuisikaupunki, Finland facility. Job One at Porsche’s Zuffenhausen, Germany plant is expected to happen this fall.
