Ford expects June new car and truck sales to come in at the same rate as in May, and sees a cloudy rest of the year as the outlook for the economy remains mixed.
Ford North American President Mark Fields told Reuters reporter Bernie Woodall that Ford expects the June SAAR to come in in the high-13 millions. May SAAR was 13.8 million units.
Fields has a mixed outlook for the U.S. economy in the second half of the year. Despite a weaker consumer confidence, Ford has no plans to limit vehicle production – at least not now. “We will continue to match production with demand and will react to the market,” Fields said.

Is that photo from one of Ford’s advertisements? If so, I didn’t realize Ford had become so risque.
In other words, they can scale their production to match demand more quickly than they can get reports on the economy, so they’ll do that and get back to us.
