Carnewschina spotted this Panther with a – shall we say – unique paint scheme in Shanghai. Black was not enough for this Town Car. Gold was not enough for this Town Car. It needed to be orange-gold on black. Use eye protection, and don’t stare at the picture for too long.
Carnewschina thinks this “is a second generation car, model year 1993-1994. I never begrudge any car owner’s efforts to make their ride truly their own. The only negative aspect I see is in regard to the suspension mods, which have clearly destroyed the Panther’s greatest asset; its superior world-isolating ride.
I remember seeing a couple of these while I was there, but never so beautiful as this guy. Looks like a Beijing license plate.

probably just a leak in the air ride system. will right itself once you fire up the engine and the air pump does its work.

It had to happen. You had your Givenchy and Cartier versions of this barge. This here one is the sportier John Player Special version, taking its inspiration from Lotus….
I’m starting to like these people (Chinese drivers).
Hoopties in China!! Yeaaahhh!!
This must be the very rare 1994 Hurst/Lincoln Cartier Signature L, complete with Lightning Rod shifters.
