They say they are all pink inside. A surprising number is pink on the outside, as our weekly hunt for the crimson cars certifies, so much that our mailbox at shootthepink@gmail.com is all pink inside…
This time, the hunt starts with a big game trophy. Reader Kevin Jaeger bagged this pink cement truck in Ottawa, Canada. “Not something you see at every construction site,” Kevin says, and we agree. There are more …
“Your wife’s?” asks Anon Random (most likely not his real name, if it is, our condolences.) Frau Schmitto-san denies any ownership, but says: “Eeeeeeh! My girlfriend’s pink Porsche. She owns that garage in Akasaka – she can buy one a day with the money she makes there.”
“This carcass of a car was being hauled north on I-75 between Fort Myers and Tampa, FL. My guess is that it’s a long-dead GT40 kit car,” writes Multicam from Florida. With all that Bondo, the picture nearly didn’t pass our strict acceptance rules (all pink) – but we make an exception.
First gen Miata, caught by thefronge at an autocross held at Fort Devens Airfield in Ayer MA.
Thefronge receives extra credit (five pink slips) for having the presence of mind (and camera) for a video.
Thank you for sending so many pink cars to shootthepink@gmail.com. The kill was so plenty that we will run another pink installment tomorrow.
Hunt the pinkies! Send pictures of pink cars to shootthepink@gmail.com. Please enclose your TTAC screen name for proper credit. If you forget it, we’ll publish your pinkies under your full name.
And may the pink be with us.

Woo, thanks for the pink cars! The first image link appears to be broken.
Yay, fixed now; thank you very much.
I remember a few years back there was a local construction company here in Houston that painted all of its truck fleet / construction equipment pink , the idea being that if anything was stolen it would be easier to spot . Gave them a ” distinctive ” look also .
That’s a good idea! A macho construction in pink probably turns off potential thieves, and it’s a good distinctive mark for the company as well, when you see all pink vehicles surrounding a construction site, you know which company does the job!
I cannot see the first image either.
In Key West there is a taxi company that paints all of its cabs pink.
One of the craziest things I have seen a was a hot pink, Porsche Cayenne stretch limo. I wish I had a photo of this one.
….pink cement truck in Ottawa, Canada….
Would you like some aggregate with your cement?
Sweet, I’m glad mine made the cut! I bagged a pink 745Li the other day. I’ll send it in soon.
