China’s lackluster economy did not dampen the country’s appetite for Bavarian premium cars. BMW’s group sales in China rose a surprising 73 percent in December to 30,470 vehicles, Reuters says.
For the year,BMW’s group sales in in China rose 40 percent to 326,444 vehicles.

Aside from stealing others’ intellectual property, sorry I meant being deft in adapting new ideas…. People’s Republic populace excels in badge slavery too, sorry I mean, displays high rate of brand loyality to certain products.
This is actually good news for BMW owners in America.. Now that BMW is producing cars in Shenyang, China, you can expect lots of ‘backdoor’ BMW parts sold for cheap all over the internet. This is one way to bust the BWM dealers’ monopoly over their very expensive parts.
Hey wait a sec!! I thought Japan’s market was closed to import cars? :)
