Word from Germany is that Opel’s head of sales and marketing, Alfred Rieck, is departing Opel after just 7 months on the job.
Rieck was poached from Volkswagen’s Chinese outfit, where he was in charge of the Skoda brand. Now, Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann is the sole former VW China exec left at the top. Rieck will be replaced by Vauxhall’s Duncan Aldred in the interim.

Any VW executive from Skoda China has bad luck.
That fascia should have been on the Volt. It’s much more unique and recognizable.
look at who is in charge of Europe and there lay the blame for incessant executive turnover. all Girsky understands is cut and close, tell me one thing he has accomplished besides “advising” Wagoner into federal bankruptcy.
I’m sure he’s made a ton of money giving, er, selling that bad advice. For advice-sellers, there’s always the excuse, “the advice was sound, you just didn’t execute properly.”
