The Renault Twin-Z concept, shown here, was unveiled at a Milanese furniture show (seriously) but is said to preview the next-generation Twingo. The five-door concept clearly takes its styling inspiration from the Volkswagen Up!, but there will be a crucial packaging difference – the Twingo will be rear-engined, since it shares a common chassis with the next-generation Smart car.

Clearly takes it’s styling inspiration from the VW Up?
They’re as different as two cars that small could possibly be. Look at Renault’s own 4CV from the 50’s, this is modern take on that one.
2CV was a Citroen. Maybe you’re thinking the Renault 4?

Being rear engined it has more in common with the Tata Nano than the Up!
The smart car was poorly named.
I see a bit of the R-8 and R-10 in the styling.
