Forget CVTs in WRXs; Subaru has dropped their Legacy Concept at the 2013 LA Auto Show, illustrating the design direction the Japanese automaker aims to take in the near future.
The Legacy Concept has a muscular, masculine appearance, particularly with the wide Taurus-esque grill and sinister LED eyes. Wide flares hug the 21-inch wheels, and the tail lights hammer the point home in aggressiveness.

Try again guys.
“The Legacy Concept has a muscular, masculine appearance something something yada yada hammer the point home in aggressiveness.”
Sorry, Subie has already punk’d everyone with the new WRX. Fool me twice…
That’s one ugly car. The side view is just okay, but what about rear headroom?
I really hate the giant protruding grilles and XXL emblems on so many modern cars and trucks today. Give me a ’92 Honda Civic or same year Crown Vic for a smooth, understated front-end treatment.
I thought the 96-99 i30 had an especially understated and nice front end. The emblem was tiny too.
Yuck
First start with a Taurus/Edge front end, glue some Camaro-cartoon headlights on, then add the current Accord Coupe rear bumper and fill in the space between with the plain vanilla flanks of any-man’s car and boom, we’ve got something to take to the LA Auto Show.
Failure.
This is what a bar of soap looks like when it comes out of the package. Sharp, crisp lines, deliberate yet delicate details. I have no doubt this is what the production model will look like, just after being used for a few weeks and dropped on the shower floor.
Sounds about right. It won’t look like this at all.
I suppose it’s POSSIBLE that the production model might have an actual opening trunk.
They take Buick’s fake scoops to 11.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Can’t not comment. This thing makes me miss my 93 wagon. And I hated that boringly reliable car.

Purely out of curiosity, does the TTAC Staff byline mean that you guys genuinely write this, or are you just cribbing press releases?
