The 2015 Nissan Murano showed off its new looks before the world at the 2014 New York Auto Show, and brought some improvements to the table, as well.
The Murano has a 3.5-liter V6 putting 260 horsepower to the front or all four corners through its CVT, weighs 130 pounds less than the outgoing Murano, and should match said crossover in fuel economy at around 18 city/24 highway.
Outside, the crossover boasts Nissan’s new design language, including “boomerang” head- and tail lamps, while the inside proclaims 60 percent less stitching in the upholstery and an infotainment system featuring 11 Bose speakers.

Do they have a name for that paint? Is it available on production versions?
Are Muranos still popular because I rarely see any of them anymore so It’s beyond me as to why does Nissan insists in making this.
I see tons of them where live.
I see many of them as well, though usually the gen 1, and not the gen 2 or 2.5 they’re using now.
That is one point arse nose. Why so damn point on the front of the murano ?
Wy so damn critisism Japan car with many English?
Why those extensions on the front and back lights? Were they not there this would be an elegant design. As is, it’s trying to look like one of those warriors in Japanese comics. Japanese designers need to get rid of that influence.
It’s been on the Z car for a while now, so in theory they’ve had time to think about it.
I suppose it’s their thing, like the doube-trapazoid lexus grill or whatever.
Yep, maybe a little bit of cross-pollination like the Koreans did with their German designers would be in order.
Good lord. Nightmare meets real life.
It’s just a Pathfinder/Infiniti JX35 G60 in a new set of “clothes”. Ghosn must be getting ready to retire as he seems not to care anymore, unleashing this thing on an unsuspecting public.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse, you see it from this angle. This approaches new cherokee levels of hideousness
I think it’s far worse. All those bumps and creases on every side are visually disjointing. There is no flow to the design, only a plethora of competing protrusions.
Is Nissan losing the plot? Is there too much Renault influence?
This is ugly, but it might look better in real life(?).
I like the interior, rims and colour.
The good parts, the profile, the cut of the hood is Renault. The weird lights, that’s Nissan. There is some Captur there.
The unfortunate thing is that it looks pretty generic. The first version of the Murano did so well because, love it or hate it, it looked like nothing else out there.
The second Murano removed some of the uniqueness, but it was still recognizable. This looks like every other crossover, excepting certain Maxima/Z details.
Did Nissan just out DLO fail the new Camry? That didn’t take long.
Also, remember when the Murano was a clean, simple and distinctive design? I miss that one.
I’m realizing from the front this reminds me of a Bulbasaur Pokemon. And I still don’t like the overly curved interior panels or the popsicle stick woods.
Also, why is the 3.5 in here getting 260HP, when my 09 M with the same engine(!) gets 305HP?
